Though the fact that people don't bother reading past headlines really explains that whole thing Tumblr used to do where they'd get mad that a headline didn't say a non-famous person's name. That thing where there'd be a story like "local boy, age 10, wins inventing contest" and the replies would overwhelmingly be "UM...WHY NOT SAY HIS NAME??? WHAT ARE THEY TRYING TO HIDE..."

People joked at the time "do they not know there's more of a story if you click it" and like. Apparently, yes!

Also, it's standard journalistic practice to only include a name in a headline if the person is well-known enough that the name would be instantly recognizable.
