(Probably showing my age here but…) I made a character from one of my all time favorite pointe and click video games - Laura Bow.
Laura Bow II has to be my FAVORITE PC game from my childhood. I don't really know how to explain why, its hard and almost impossible to beat without a walk through, but I just adored this game when I was younger (and still do). I think what sold me was the complete randomness of this game - a flapper in the restroom asking you for a massage, getting mugged as you step of the train, how corny the characters were, eavesdropping on said characters and listening to their juicy gossip, and the fact that this was intended for a mature audience.. Talking to the various characters was so much fun for me and the thrill of possibly dying always kept me on my toes - you never knew what could kill you; Not looking both ways before crossing the street will bring a random car soaring down the road onto the curb you barely stepped off off and run you over or getting stabbed trying to get into a speakeasy without the right password, and it gets even worse as you progress.
I revisit this game yearly because I always become so nostalgic for it.
