BLACK LIVES MATTER - RAISE AWARENESS

On May 25, 2020, George Floyd was slowly and mercilessly killed by 4 Minneapolis police officers while being videotaped by concerned citizens begging them to stop. Floyd was surrounded and brutally dealt with by the police as Derek Chauvin’s knee pinned down his throat. Floyd kept screaming “I can’t breathe! I can’t breathe!” but they didn’t listen. He then became unresponsive but was continually choked until his nose began to bleed, and his lifeless body was shoved into a stretcher and into the back of an ambulance.

The officers involved have been fired and the FBI has been called to investigate. But we must do our part to ensure that George Floyd receives the justice he deserves. Please sign these petitions addressed to the FBI, The President, The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, The Minneapolis Police Department, & DA Mike Freeman. An email on your behalf will be sent to all of the above. The lawyer representing Floyd’s family, civil rights attorney Ben Crump, urges us to call DA Mike Freeman (612-348-5550) and tell him to arrest and charge these officers for the Murder of George Floyd, I encourage you to do so.

I do not have a significant following, but this is my biggest platform and I know only a select few of my followers do not keep scrolling when they see non bts related content; however, I encourage you to read up on what is happening in the USA because it extends beyond just my country's parameter. some helpful posts I have seen on my own dashboard are here, here, and here

I do not need to say why this is important not just now, but eternally. what matters exceeds just reblogs and likes. sign those petitions, educate yourself, and find out what you can do to play an active role in your community and in the lives of your neighbors

I have already donated what I can, however the need for these resources isn't going to stop anytime soon. donations and exposure are the bare minimum of how you and I can offer our support. but I am a creator, and I want to extend those resources beyond just what I can offer by utilizing my biggest asset here on an artist's platform

all proceeds I get from these commissions will be going to organizations such as the BLM movement and my state's Freedom Fund, as well as The Trayvon Martin Foundation. I heavily encourage you to read up on these organizations and where your donations may go, and what they stand for
