#037.5 - Vulpix are born with a single, white tail, which gradually gains color and splits from its tip as it grows older. You can tell the relative age of Vulpix by the amount of tails one has. The process of growing more tails has been said to create mystical powers, granting a full grown Ninetales the ability to live for a thousand years. Despite this wondrous power, Vulpix do not gain a secondary typing upon evolution.

#037.5A - Vulpix first came to the Alola region together with humans, but through breeding and releases, began populating snowy mountain peaks in order to avoid the normal habitats of other Pokemon. Over time, Vulpix evolved to thrive in this new environment, creating a new sub species with an ice typing. These Alolan Vulpix are gentle-natured, and practice honing their icy breath by defending Pokemon and trainers in duress.

Named:  Vulpix - Kitsuven - Ninetales

#187.5 - Hoppip are extremely lightweight, and must gather together in clusters to prevent themselves from being blown away by strong winds; however, they will often utilize the wind to help carry them to a new location. As Hoppip age, they will begin to sprout a flower bud from the base of leaves on their heads. The leaves will wither and fall off once the bud is large and healthy, but the bud will only open once the weather warms. Hoppip will often intentionally float high up, hoping that sun’s rays will quicken their bloom.

#188.5 - Skiploom will spread their flower petals wide to absorb as much sunlight as possible. Their bloom will close if it gets too cold, so they often seek out warm winds in an effort to keep the blossom open. When they have absorbed enough energy, they will sprout a flower on each arm. These smaller flowers, like their large head bloom, will eventually dry up and release their puff-like spores. Skiploom gain more control over their wind-blown flights as their cottony spores grow in, and will shed these spores as they drift. Though the spores will grow back, Skiploom and Jumpluff will get extremely agitated if someone blows all their puffs out at once.

Named: Hoppip - Leapud - Skiploom - Prantal - Jumpluff
