       ❛ eliza! ❜ the woman’s face lights up immediately at the sight of her sister. it is without restraint that she steps forward and immediately hugs her sister. her company was scarce, eliza had wed alexander and their lives didn’t seem to intertwine as often as peggy would desire. the company of her older sister was more than welcome, and peggy’s smile was genuine. ❛ you’re always more than welcome to drop by! i miss you, it’s such a joy to see you again! ❜ the woman quickly steps aside, realizing she’s blocking the doorway. ❛ come inside, come sit with me for a bit. tell me, how have YOU been? how is alexander? ❜

Arms encompass the other entirely, a tight squeeze, slightly nuzzle into her neck before pulling back, hands still taking hold of the other’s. Funny, how close yet scarce her company is, and the moment she pulls away it become no question how deeply she missed her sister. “Always is, Pegs.... always is. I miss you too, we must make this more of a common event, yes?” A soft chuckle, making her way into her sister’s home, looking around once more as she headed towards the couches, hands still intwined. Sister and sister united once more. All seemed to be set right in the world for once. “I have been very good, busy with the children, they grow SO FAST... and Alexander he--” she pauses, non-stop, working himself to an early grave, stressed past the point of her ability to put his mind at ease?---- “He’s very busy--- his position can be very DEMANDING” It was the softest way to put it. She may confide later, but for now there was only one thing she longed for--- to hear about her sister.  “What about you? I want to hear ALL about everything.”

Trish arched a carefully manicured eyebrow at Karen. “You sure?” Not that Trish wouldn’t have kept pushing. Over and over again until it was perfect. Or until she couldn’t even stand anymore. (She’d done that more times than was strictly safe.) But, it was one thing for Trish to push her own body past the limit. It was an entirely different thing to keep pushing Karen to the edge. Something was going to give. “You’re doing well. We can always call it quits for today and start again tomorrow…”

“I’m sure.... I have to Trish...” Grabbing her water quick, figuring that if she perhaps properly hydrated it’d ease up on the concern. Part of her also  longing to impress the other who had always been a sort of long time IDOL to the small town girl when she grew up. This was a dream come true--- minus the possible bruising and the induced hunger. “I, have been a victim for too long and I’m SICK of it. No more damsel-in-distress bullshit.          though the male         ( admittedly )         did have his NOSE within the pages of a very thick book on the mechanics behind locomotives not five minutes before, his head had popped up long enough to see the spectacle.         of course, he’d been distracted by the NOISE LEVEL in the library and was going to tell the perpetrator to PIPE DOWN ; however, the fight had seemed by far more interesting than his book.         && it’s not often caleb thinks that.             ❝ i may not be the most OBSERVANT when it comes to something as pointless as brawling, but i’m NOT STUPID. i definitely know what i saw.  ❞  

Arms cross, lips pressed together as she forced an awkward assertiveness. Body taking a seat next to his and voice significantly lowering. The last thing needed was unwanted attention directed their way. The existence of her kind was a long held secret from humans, and she wouldn’t be the Yukimura to blow her cover in entirety. Despite her rambles and terrible lying, the true form of the fox would remain hidden.  “So you think what you saw is RATIONAL? Like someone would believe you if you spoke a word of it?” A brow raised, trying to plant doubt, questioning of what his vision perceived. Maybe even gain insight on what he believed.

The snappy tone in her voice had his brows raising in surprise. Not that Kate wasn’t always snarky towards him ( Tony would be far more concerned if she was acting nicely ), but this was different; she wasn’t joking, and seemed genuinely upset      and then he understood why. A pause followed, and Tony was left to mull over the topic for a moment, unsure of what to say. “     Well, lucky for you, you got an expert on daddy issues right here.” He bumped her shoulder lightly. “So if you wanna talk about it     or talk shit, I can listen.” Another pause. “Or… we can talk about something else. But take it from someone who’s been there      ignoring the problem isn’t gonna make you feel any less crappy.”

Only a brief smile curls along the edges of her lips, eyes locked on the tiles as if they were endlessly fascinating. “Is it just me, or do most superheroes have some form of daddy or mommy issues?” Her tone teasing, but dry at the same time. His words sink in, hating how he was right. Burying issues never helped, only stirred more rage until mistakes were committed and words not meant went crashing down. “I, don’t think I’ve ever really talked about him to you Tony... Let’s see, how can I describe him” a pause for dramatics, multiple words of various degradation already arriving in an influx. “Rich, corrupt, ASSHOLE.” And one of the driving factors of her picking up a hawkeye mantle, his disapproval for her super-heroing. Partly an act to defy him.

Mellifluous symphony, a carcass of lies, death is axiomatic, it follows at her heels. She can’t die, immortal to her bones, drown her in the blood of her own demise. Tumultuous end racing with unprecedented speed. Sisters bound by blood under an oath of DOOM. Oh how these petty mortal creatures were as fragile of moral as they were body. Not to worry, judgment day was upon them. Crimson ichor washing away SIN, a release from the earth bound to. The bodies ascend (or DESCEND in most cases), placed in a time-out circle from the life they’ve known for eternity.
