Susan was just a small sled blob when I first went to handle at Manitou Crossing Kennels. Now she is eleven years old and retired from the race team. She is the first dog I adopted from MCK and has been with me through various moves, cross-country road trips, personal upheavals and sled dog races (most notably the 2015 UP200). She and her sister were my main leaders for a lot of years and, although they are aging, they are still spry and love being active and going on hiking adventures!
