Everyone talks about the joys of someone else being super invested in your OCs and while this undoubtedly feels absolutely awesome, I think there's also something to be said about the joy of being invested in someone else's OCs too. There's just vibes you get out of some people's casts of characters that you can't get anywhere else with their own unique flavor from that person, and they're just sitting there in relative obscurity spawned completely out of someone's mind with no media involvement or anything. I was reading the part of history with Catherine II. and the American Revolution and man, it was so funny, because England literally begged for Russia's intervention and she was like lol no because I think your king is dumb

Do you know what I mean? England first asked for 20,000 infantrymen to crush America, which Catherine II downright refused, then England tried to bribe her by offering an island in Mediterranean, which initially went well but didn't work out eventually. The funniest moment came when, in June 1779, after Spain has joined the fight, some minister from England once again pleaded Catherine to assist with her navy, but she "declined and told him that if England desired peace she could have it by renouncing the struggle with the colonies."

I was laughing out because... this was like... like England saying "Please Russia help me I'm losing"

and Russia was like "but you can just give up, you know, or maybe surrender"
