i didn't want to be an ass about it and thought that the message on my ao3 profile would be enough, but it seems like people are ignoring it or haven't read it, so i'm making a post as well.

please do not share my fics publicly. as i said on my profile, i don't mind friends sharing them privately with each other if you have them downloaded, but please do not publicly distribute my fics. i took them down for a reason. additionally, i hope you know that if you're sharing them publicly you're making it that much easier for people to plagiarize me. also, please do not repost my fics.

please do not contact me asking for pdfs. as i said on my profile, i will only send out a pdf to the recipient of a gift fic who wants a copy of that gift fic.

I hope this doesn't come out rude.. i have this curiosity, why not post all chapters at once if it is already written? Do writers have to look after few things before posting their completed work? (Like ao3 restrictions) Personally i think timely updates of chaptered fics are better cause it keeps up the engagement and excitement of the readers.

yeah that's pretty much why - people seem to be more excited/engaged with fics that post chapter by chapter rather than a big one all at once. personally speaking i also need the extra time to edit in between chapters and sometimes redo scenes etc. its hard to catch issues with one or two big read throughs so editing again chapter by chapter helps me
