I enjoyed it. I thought they did a good job pulling the plot through and developing the characters. That said, I didn’t love the feeling of time compression. It felt like in the original series, these things unfolded over a much longer period of time.

In retrospect, I think it wasn’t even the ship in later seasons, I think the show largely fell apart writing-wise.

Yeah it really sucks (quick switch, they use different pronouns since I've posted here).

I think it's a reminder of how people change. Back when I was active here and we started dating, we were different people who wanted different things. It ended as amicably as it could, it fucking hurts, but at least I got the cat.

like i am 30. i work in a ridiculous white-collar job where they pay me a ridiculous amount of money. i am now single after my 8-year relationship ended sitting with my cat-child of divorce. and i literally cANNOT forgive all the fucking BS that happened around Korra. I am someone who discovered you during the Avatar/Korra 2020 renaissance, and I just want to tell you, your fics and takes from the show's heyday were an absolute saving grace for me to discover! Rhapsody in Red is my all-time favorite Makorra fic. You did their dynamic so much justice, better than Bryke ever did or could. And your noir AU of Republic City was so beautifully crafted (hope you like the art I commissioned of it for Makorra Week last year 👉👈). I'm glad your fury is still present, and please know you are not alone! There is still a very small but very passionate band of Makorra faithfuls, both OG and newcomers, who still share your pain and righteous indignance.

From a fellow 30-year old white-collar-working Korra salter, I hope you and your kitty kid are doing well, all things considered.
