The End
What a strange couple of words to put together. It's been a long ride. It was really nice to revisit my favourite and longest running neighbourhood and give my Sims a proper sendoff. It was harder than I thought to post these farewells...I knew I would be sad, but it's amazing how making something so final is pretty emotional!
I'm so glad that I could share Pine Lake with this community. Thank you to all the folks who have been there from the very beginning, to those who came on at the end with equal enthusiasm, to those who dropped in and out, to those who have also moved on now, to the quiet readers who I never even knew...I appreciate all of your support and encouragement along the way.
TS2 was a fun hobby for me for many years, and though I've gone on to other things, I'll always have fond memories of it and the community that still enjoys it. How neat to see what I've learned from it too: my writing has definitely improved, my knowledge of computers certainly increased, and I strongly believe the space to practise creativity has been so so valuable.
I am moving on now, and this might be the last thing I ever post here. But I am leaving the blog up, and I will never delete it. One day if I have some free time and inspiration I might make a backup of it somewhere. It's nice to be able to look back on everything.
Some folks have said I've inspired them, and that is such a humbling comment. I have been inspired by so many in this community too. It feels trite to try to express that through text, but really, thank you. Thank you to everyone for being a part of this journey, and may you continue to encourage and inspire others through this classic wacky and wonderful game.
