大召喚士He was utterly still as the fayth he’d come to know looked on, examined him with careful intent. He did his best not to even breathe for fear he’d shift, slip and mess something up. He was not a swordsman. Of course, he’d never been trained. Perhaps, it wasn’t his fault, then, really… that he was so terribly inept. And if nothing else, he had a will to learn, a desire. And it manifested now.
He bit his lip at the words, at last allowing himself to relax once the fayth had stepped away The blade was remarkably light, lighter now somehow, now that he had been reminded, a fragment of his faith restored. He had once, some time ago, made a fool of himself in an attempt to lift Auron’s. He would make no such mistake again. War was an art, an art that needed to be handled with care.
He drew a breath, deep, and let himself relax for a moment longer. Then, nodding at his trainer, he raised the blade and focused once more. The swing came quickly, faster than he realized. It felt as though he’d cut through nothing. Had he—
He dared not look, not right away. Instead, he forced his eyes shut and dipped his head. He’d wait to hear the news. Surely, surely, it wasn’t so simple—
“ Did I… ? ”
The Aeon found it amusing that his Summoner was still so timid around him. Even knowing Ixion wouldn’t hurt him Braska still seemed on edge when he got close. Though when in the presence of the embodiment of lightning he was sure it was hard not to be. Yet, here the Mage was learning to use a blade under Ixion’ watchful eye. He was proving to be braver than the horse originally thought.
Pale eyes watched the other man carefully as he readied himself again. They took note of things in Braska’s stance that still needed work. Perhaps changing from those robes will help him... He watched the blade come down on the log, about the length of his forearm and thick enough to carry many blows from the light sword, and smiled. Once it was safe he stepped over to the chunk- well chunks -of wood as one side toppled over.
“You did. Well done.~” Ixion’s tone was pleased as he lifted up the piece that fell to examine it.
“ am I doing this right? ”
Hearing his summoner’s question he looked over and analyzed his stance. Ixion stepped close and adjusted the other man’s hold on the sword he held. “Hold it here. This blade is not like the ones your Guardians carry.” He explained. “This one takes less effort to control unlike theirs.” The Aeon stepped back a bit to give Braska room to swing again. “Now try. With as sharp as that blade is you should be able to cut right through the wood this time.”

“Hey, no, stop. You’re going to break your fingers punching like that.”
He liked this world of electronics and technology, he really did. But sometimes the humans here were so bloody annoying. The shorter man stopped what he was doing and faced the taller, hands on his hips. “I know what I am doing I’ve been a soldier a lot longer than you have.”
The silver haired man shook his head. “Alright, do as you wish.” he said stepping away from the shorter. He wanted to see how this went, if the shorter would hurt himself, or if he’d succeed.
Ixion gave a nod and turned back to what he was doing. Break his fingers, hah! He’d never broken a bone in his life. He was much more sturdy than this enhanced human next to him. The Aeon pulled his fist back one last time and slammed it into the wooden door. His hand went right through the thing like it was nothing this time. Ixion might have cheated and put a small amount of lightning behind it but no one needed to know that. He unlocked the door from the other side and pushed it open. “There.~ See, told you.”

The Aeon glanced at the other, holding the wound in his upper arm. It was deep but being what was left of a soldier he didn’t think anything of it. But he knew the woman wouldn’t stop worrying. That was what it meant to have what was left of a mother. Ixion sighed a bit. “If you insist.”
