I’ve finally posted that holiday one-shot I’ve been hinting at for a while (that ended up being almost 10,000 words). It’s a lovely blind-date-coffee-shop-au. Everything you could ever want to chase away the chill of winter. 😂 I’ll reblog the artwork that goes with it too.
Summary:
Victor’s been set up on a blind date by Chris. The past few he’s been on have been rough, but with the holidays around the corner, he’s a little desperate for companionship. So he agrees to meet in a lovely little coffee shop with someone who, apparently, has ‘the cutest butt’ (Chris’s exact words). It turns out he’s just dying of thirst.

Okay! So, I said I’d been working on something new, and here it is. It’s something pretty different from what I’d normally write, but it’s been exciting to work on. 🙌 It’s going to update fairly quickly during December. (There’s also a Christmasy-type thing or two in the works that will be coming soon) 🎄✨

Hey all! (Is anyone out there?)
So, a bit of news: I’ve been working on YCPfE slowly, but right now I’ve been needing to take a bit of time to figure out where, exactly, I want to go with it. (Such is the problem with writing as you go.) 🤷♀️
It’s a bit of a crossroads - do I go the long route I originally planned, or do I say ‘fuck it’, and go somewhere completely different. Anyway, I’m just having an existential crisis over how I should take the next couple chapters. 😳 Once I figure things out, I’ll be back to posting. I just don’t want to get ahead of myself just yet.
In the meantime, however, I’ve been writing other things! 🎉 (Still for YoI) It’s totally different, and I have no clue if it’s any good, but I’ve been enjoying writing it. I’ll be posting on a fairly quick schedule this December, starting (hopefully) on the 3rd. I hope you’ll give it a chance and have a read! 😘🥰

I won’t be able to get it to you this week. I ended up being way more tired after my trip (drove over 3,500km & walked over 100km), and haven’t been able to do much writing. I’ll work on the next chapter over the weekend and see where I am after that. I’m going to assume that I should have it ready for next week.🎉

At the moment, I’m not quite sure. I am HOPING for next week Thursday (the 6th). BUT I’m gone on a small ‘vacation’ until the 8th, so I don’t even know if I’ll have internet access until later on.

Now that I’m studying bio, may I just say how fervently I wish my primary association with the words “alpha, beta, omega” was literally anything other than what it is
My nutrition professor was talking about vitamins and said, “the only reason you all even know the words alpha and omega is because of sororities,” and I wanted so badly to raise my hand and be like “if you’re gonna be a dick for some reason, please let me explain to you in depth my immediate connotations for those words”
I’m in training to become a phlebotomist and at my last class we did blood typing and let me tell you when I walked into the lab to see A/B/O written in massive letters on the whiteboard I felt six years come off my lifespan
once I used a phrase alpha and omega of something during a lecture and one of the students giggled so hysterically I *knew* and I looked at her and she looked at me, and let me tell you, this was the most profound moment of horror and understanding I have ever shared with another person
