The way that you’ve been humming love songs all morning, dreamily sighing every other second, and the layers and layers of almond butter you’ve already piled onto your toast… It's all so unlike you. 

“Sansa…” Jon whispers from the corner of his mouth to his girlfriend sitting across the kitchen table from him, his gaze wearily on you. “I think we’ve lost her.”

Sansa rolls her eyes, petting Lady softly as the docile direwolf eats a piece of pancake off her palm. “She’s just in a good mood! ___ is always pretty much in a good mood!”

“Yeah… but never like that. ”

Now they’re both staring at you — giggling to yourself as if having a conversation in your head. Clearly on the Seven Heavens. 

“Ooooh…” Sansa sucks in a hiss, trying to suppress her own giggles. “She’s got it bad.”

I’m trash for guys protecting the woman they love so here’s something that was meant to be a 200 word warm up

Theseus Scamander has no fear of stepping in when he sees someone needs him, especially when that someone is you. So when you look to him through the haze of cigars, lips pressed together, expression burning with a mix of anger and discomfort, Theseus is immediately on his way to your side, completely abandoning the snacks he’d set about to procure for the both of you. The bar is hot, filled nearly over with co-workers he recognizes and some he does not, and it takes a moment to find an opening to make it through to where you stand, one arm pressed against the bar, laughing nervously up at a man with handsome features but an all-too-slick grin. Theseus hardly recognizes him, knows him only through a moment with you, when you’d stepped away, eyes lowering to avoid the man’s gaze s you’d walked through the Ministry’s hallways with Theseus. You’d said little about the man then, only that he’d said some things about you that you’d reported, but now it’s clear how you feel, what you think of him, and that you absolutely want to be as far away from his nearing body as possible.

It takes nothing to call up that confidence Theseus wears so well. Shoulders back, chin raised, suit straightened as he slides past another co-worker and right to your side. “There you are, dear,” he says, loud and clear, well over the din of the party, “I was wondering where you’d gotten off to.” He lets his eyes flicker to the other man now, sizing him up, reading him, before leaning in to press a kiss to the top of your head. Then, without hesitation, he slips into the small space left between you and the man, his own back against the man’s chest, and you’re looking up at him, forced against his chest by the crowded room, and Theseus smiles that reassuring smile you know so well. “He’s bothering you?” He asks, though you know he already knows the man is.

“A little,” you admit, the words sour, not nearly strong enough, if you’re honest, but you don’t want to see this break into a fight.

Theseus, though, does not fear a fight, and he leans in and pecks your lips before kissing the tip of your nose. “Don’t worry,” he says, “I’ll take care of him.”
