100% agree with everything here. It’s so damn important to remember they’re 15 years old. You stick a group of adolescents together and then bombard them with shit that no kid should deal with. Of course things aren’t going to be perfect. Ofc there’s going to be weird forced interactions.
In the beginning their friendship wasn’t there, it wasn’t supposed to be. They were a group of kids thrown together because the adults in their lives thought it was right. They are all kids who were trying to figure themselves out, figure out who they wanted to be. Personalities were going to clash, there were going to be weird moments because that’s just how it normally is.
Ofc Tsuna was going to have guilt over bringing his friends into this mess, it was apparent with the Ring arc. It’s why it’s my favorite one. It’s where you can really start to see all their growth, see where they stand with each other and how they have decided to fight the adversities facing them. I think a lot of Tsuna’s guilt really started there. All of his friends got hurt, his basically baby brother nearly died and at the end of the day, it was his fault. (It wasnt, it was his dads but that’s besides the point)
By the final battle in this arc it was so clear why Tsuna was fighting and it was so clear that everyone else just wanted to stand by his side and make sure he was okay. They want to protect him as much as he protects them. Throughout the rest of the series we get to see so much growth from all of them.
Yamamoto learns how to deal with Hibari. Hibari learns how to hype (probably not the best term use but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) Tsuna up. Ryohei is the pillar that the family can lean against. Chrome is the quiet support in the back, the assassin that will protect her friends even if it makes her uncomfortable or injured in the process. Gokudera is the front man, willing to create diversions for whatever reason to protect them, he’s meant to be loud and obnoxious. Lambo is still a literal baby but he learns when to be serious, when to fight for his family even if he cries about it or uses Mama as an excuse.
Their friendship isn’t meant to be perfect. It’s meant to be the very pillar that they fight so hard for. Why do you think Tsuna was so adamant about amending things with Enma. Enma was first and foremost his friend and anything after that didn’t matter.
Pretty sure I got my thoughts all tangled so time for me to STOP.
I get it, I’m on your side and I will die on this hill with you.
