Strange, that some of us, with quick alternate vision see beyond our infatuations, and even while we rave on the heights behold the wide plain where our persistent self pauses and awaits us.

Have you read Donna Tartt's The Secret History? If so, what did you think?

i think donna tartt can seriously write, but she has a tendency to bloviate which sometimes enhances a paragraph, but sometimes makes reading her prose a chore. i enjoyed the secret history, but also think it's a tad overrated (i know everyone in dark academia circles loves it, but it just felt too overwrought to me)

So. I found Madam Granger, fell irrecoverably enthralled, and had to see if you wrote more. Now I have found that you wrote a George/Mary story? Never even thought of the ship and there it is for me to read all at once?! You monstrous thing, it is wonderful. Although I have to ask: are you ever going to move it onto AO3?

aww, this is lovely, thank you! "you monstrous thing" i love that. i will post the mary/wickham fic on ao3 too eventually.

I’m not sure how to comment on fanficnet, but I’m rereading Stepbrother for the gazillionth time, and I just... God, I get chills every time. No idea how you created something so beautiful/raw. It’s like... it perfectly encapsulates all the innocence of childhood without forgetting how vicious children are. I love the push and pull of little Tom & Hermione. And god, the imagery! The scene with blood and water, and then the story about gnarled apples. Ugh, it’s art!

thank you so much! it's always wonderful to hear reactions to that fic because it's so special to me <3 i am trying to update it and post it on ao3 as well, but i'm so glad you enjoy rereading it!
