one of the greatest compliments I've ever gotten on a fanfic was someone who told me "I can tell how much you love these characters."

I just nearly had a tantrum. I saw a post where a person simply counted the number of characters and the number of deaths by sex. Then asserted (without any evidence of details in the series) that ALL the women were badass and none had ever been portrayed as a damsel in distress.
And thus, the poster concluded, anyone who thinks The Walking Dead is sexist should shut up.
And then said in the tags that “ship wars aren’t feminism.”

THANK YOU! Yes, absolutely! I LOVE TWD and believe that it is trying to be a far more progressive show, but it has been a horrifyingly sexist show and still is a sexist product.
