Me (in February 2016) : Okay, so I’m gonna watch this show Supernatural, but I won’t get obsessed with the characters or the cast.

Me (in August 2016) : *knows the name of every actor and actress who has ever been on the show* *knows the names of their kids and their birthdays* *cries happy tears because Jensen and Danneel are having twins*

For whatever reason ( it could be his own depression flaring up), Jared flatly refuses to see that his enormous platform makes a difference, and that his near-doxxing of a woman (vile or mean as she may be) can have VERY serious consequences.

The “many of them unbalanced” comment could have been phrased better, and  SPN is hardly the only fandom with similar issues, but the main point is pretty good. 

Here is Jared completely missing the point, though:

It’s not about denying the hurt he feels. He doesn’t deserve to be treated with disrespect, and he shouldn’t have to hold his pain inside.

This is about the forum and channels he used to express his anger and pain.

He has other avenues to take. He could likely get her fired (if that’s what needs to happen) by having his agent or his attorneys, etc. make a few calls. 

Putting her photo and initials and place of employment out there for his over 3 million ardent followers to see could get her much worse than fired. It could get her seriously physically harmed.

Maybe he needs a private or professionals-only FB account to use for this kind of thing.

Who knows what she did? It may have been horrible. He says she ruined his night.

Is this the proper recourse for that situation? 

No.

I truly hope it doesn’t end in violence or lawsuits. 

And I hope Jared finds peace.
