DO NOT REPOST JUN MOCHIZUKI’S ARTWORK FROM HER TWITTER OR ANY OF HER OTHER SOCIAL MEDIAS ON ANY OTHER WEBSITES/APPS

hey I know I’m not terribly active anymore on here but I know a bunch of you follow me from PH days SO HEADS UP

DO NOT REPOST JUN’S ARTWORK FROM HER TWITTER OR ANY OF HER OTHER SOCIAL MEDIAS ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE/APP

Jun has deleted old blog/blog posts and social media accounts because of this breech before. She (reasonably) finds it difficult to trust people not to repost her work, so please respect her wishes and DON’T REPOST HER WORK

She even had a pixiv before that she felt she could only maintain as long as her stuff wasn’t reposted (it says that ON THE PAGE). Her stuff was reposted, and she doesn’t post there much anymore (or at all really.). Her old blog has basically been nuked due to reposts. Remember that as a mangaka, she’s not as free to post whatever she wants as people outside of the industry are, like you or me.

If you want to show your friends work she’s doing, just send them a link to where you saw it! DON’T REPOST IT

If you want to continue enjoying her sketches and other drawings, then please respect her wishes!

twitter etiquette for new users

  • replying is how you make friends! reply to anything you want and be friendly. don’t make rude jokes if you’re not friends already though!
  • quote retweeting is a no-no. when you “retweet with a comment” it’s not liked by content creators because it makes a new tweet out of their tweet and they don’t get the likes and retweets they would get if you’d just retweeted it straight up. if you want to comment on a retweet, reply to it or post a new tweet starting with “LRT” which stands for “last retweet” (it’s fine to quote retweet dumb memes and so on.)
  • you can make your tweets private. this means no one but your followers will be able to see what you post and no one will be able to retweet your content.  you can switch back and forth between private and public at will. some people make a separate private account to tweet personal stuff and let mutuals follow it only. it’s a good way to keep things separate.
  • what is privatter? privatter is a third party web app that content creators can allow to be attached to their twitter. it lets them tweet content that they can make exclusive to logged in users, followers, mutuals, or a specific list of users. as long as you are logged in to twitter and fall into the intended category, you’ll be able to see it.
  • you can mute people you follow. (and those you don’t, ofc.) you can also mute words and phrases and entire conversations. if you mute someone you follow and they reply to you, that reply will still show up in your notifications. it’s a good way to keep the peace!
  • you can limit notifications to people who follow you or to mutuals. (notifications from people you follow will still show up regardless of which option you’ve selected.)
  • miscellaneous tips and warnings: if you accidentally unfollow and refollow someone, it won’t show up in their notifications as long as it’s within a couple minutes. no more accidental stuff. everyone can see who everyone follows so watch out. people will know if you unfollow. if you want to report someone and want them gone forever, report a tweet where they used a curse word. screenshotting tweets for harassment is a no-no and can get you banned. don’t be lame. don’t be a dick. vaguing others is generally really bad form and so is complaining about content within a fandom you’re in. use the mute tools at your disposal and don’t be a spoiler. you won’t come back from a rep like that and everyone sees everything.

that’s it! happy tweeting!!

how do i keep all my content together on twitter?

  • threads are your best friend!! you make a tweet with your commission info and links and so on and pin it to the top of your page. then reply to that tweet with a copy and pasted link to the tweet where you posted the art/fic/etc you want to not lose. reply to that new tweet with the next piece of artwork and so on. you can also make a unique hashtag for your content to use when you post, so that when you search that hashtag later you’re able to see just your art. good luck!

I also want to say, if you don’t want to use threads, Moments are a really nice way to organize art or other original content! All you do is, after you post your tweet, you hit the little arrow in the top corner and select “Add to new Moment” - from there, you can add a title, description, and select viewing modes (like oldest to newest or newest to oldest) and I believe even privacy settings?

PLUS it’s super easy to edit what is and isnt in the Moment. I always just slap whatever sketches I post in there and then keep it pinned, so that way I can still occasionally post dumb memes but keep my art easily accessible for people new to my page! (Plus I have other moments, like that Game Shots one which is screenshots from video games bc my psn is hooked to my twitter, and I have another moment for pictures of my cats)

Clicking on the moment opens a new tab on browser, where you scroll through it single-file, just like how you do with tumblr blogs. It also works on the twitter app really nicely! It’s really nice and I recommend thoroughly!!

Other places to find me

I am unaware if any of my stuff has been flagged. I haven’t really made anything particularly flag worthy, but it seems the algorithm for this has been an absolute mess for artists in general, sfw or otherwise.

I will still be posting here. However, I figured I should provide links to other websites I’m on just in case!

DeviantArt (dweebunny) - Definitely one of the better places if you need to contact me or want to keep up to date on…whatever it is you follow me for!! I check up on DA frequently and uploads are all up to date. I won’t be notified the moment you send me a message though as it’s not on my phone- but I’ll see it when at a computer!

Twitter (dweebrabbit. dweebunny is my personal here) - Again, I’m quite active here- I post more doodles here in general and it’s also where I discuss my OCs the most. My media files are 99% just drawings, but due to twitter’s system it’s not as well organized…I should start making more moments.

Instagram (dweebunny) - I’m a bit picky on what I upload onto Instagram because people I know irl follow me here…but it’s on my phone so I’m notified if I’m send messages or anything! I’m trying to be more open…

Pixiv (dweebunny) - …I sometimes forget I have a pixiv but hey!! It’s there if you need it! I tend to only put coloured things here, so no doodles…

Piczel (dwebunny) - I literally only set up this account less than an hour ago, so there’s nothing here yet. I don’t even know how it works yet I just heard some people on tumblr are moving there.

We really have harmed a whole generation of trans and gnc children by failing to communicate how serious a decision binding actually is, how there’s no ACTUALLY safe way to bind, how it permeneantly damages the body, how it can make top surgery more difficult in the future. I don’t think we should be keeping trans kids from binding (we let kids do all sorts of things they’re really not old enough to understand the potential consequences of) but we owe them the ability to make informed decisions at LEAST

So this is definitely an important conversation to have, but can you point me at some reading about “permanent damage”? I might just be lucky, but I had zero lasting effects from binding. I’d like to at least read up on it so I can have this conversation and be more specific than “be careful.”

Of course! I can’t easily source right now but I am more than happy to provide further info when I am not at work and on mobile. Unfortunately, like a lot of trans healthcare, a lot of what we know about binding is anecdotal and word of mouth. BUT permeneant damage can include:

-Musculoskeletal damage. Binders are indiscriminate compression tools; they can’t flatten the chest without applying pressure every other anatomical structure underneath including the spine, ribs, lungs and heart. Many people who bind experience chronic back pain, shoulder pain, sharp stabbing chest pains, permeneantly decreased lung capacity, literal spine deformation, etc etc.

-A continuation of the above but the ribs are actually jointed bones. Their ability to flex is absolutely vital to their ability to withstand trauma and protect your vital organs. Imagine the damage that would be done to your elbow if your bent your arm to full flexion and then tightly bound it closed like that, for six, eight, twelve hours per day, every day, for weeks or months or years. And you don’t NEED a functioning arm to live!

-Tissue atrophy. Forcing chest tissue to lay in an unnatural way can and will change the way that tissue looks, even to risk of atrophy. Some people who bind and only moderately dislike the way their chest looks find that they HATE the way it looks after binding for a period of time. Tissue atrophy can also make top surgery more difficult in the future, and increase the risk of complications like nerve damage.

-Worsened dysphoria. Once someone starts binding and becomes accustomed to seeing themselves with a flat chest, it can be much more difficult to see yourself without one, and dysphoria that much more intolerable. You can imagine the psychological feedback loop of binding more in response.

The typical safety measures passed around about binding are harm REDUCTION measures and should not be advertised as making binding “safe.” Binding is not safe. It is a very serious health decision with long term consequences and should be treated as such. That doesn’t mean it’s the wrong decision, but it should not be considered the DEFAULT decision for chest dysphoria which is frankly how it’s currently treated.

Holy shit

I went to the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference and went to a workshop held by a chiropractor who works with trans men (as well as being a trans man himself), so I’m going to pass on his advice to people who bind:

Stretch your chest, shoulders, and back everyday (at least)

This is a passive stretch where you place a foam roller at the bottom of your spine (to support your hips and lower back), and lifts your shoulders off of the ground, with your arms on the ground to balance you.

This stretch is meant to be held for a few minutes, open up your chest, and aid your everyday posture.

You probably don’t own a foam roller, he advised to wrap a towel or blanket very tightly and tied as a substitute. I use a layer of bed foam rolled up with two belts to keep it rolled. Whatever you use, it ought to have a bit of give and it needs to lift your shoulders off the ground.

—————————————————————————

This is an active stretch. Stand in front of a doorway with your feet together (if the door way was not there, your toes would be touching the wall, not crossing through it). When you lift your arms up and put them against the wall, your feet, hips, and arms should all be in line with each other (your arms should not be behind you with your feet and hips in the doorway).

Make a “W” shape with your arms against the wall so that your elbows are the closest part of your arm to the ground, and take one small step forward.

You should feel a pull in your lower shoulders, but it should be comfortable to hold. Do not over stretch, you shouldn’t be leaning your weight into your arms to balance, your weight should be balanced by your legs. Do not judge yourself and think you are doing yourself a favor by thinking that you ought to have a bigger step. Sure, you could overstretch today, but you need to be able to do this tomorrow too! Hold this for 10-15 seconds. (Yet again. Do. Not. Overstretch.)

Bring your feet back together, and do it the other foot. There will probably be one foot that is easier than the other, stretch that step more often than the less difficult step.

Bring your feet together and bring your elbows up so that your upper arms are parallel to the ground and your elbow forms a 90° angle with your forearms. Take your small step forward and hold for 10-15 seconds and switch feet.

Now reach your arms up as high as you can. It doesn’t have to be much higher than the last stretch, if that is as high as you can go, then that’s it. If you can’t reach higher than the last stretch, put your arms down at your sides and then lift your arms up from your sides and put them against the wall (sorry he didn’t include a picture of this one in the slides, message me if this is unclear.)

Your goal is to be able to reach your arms up like in the picture so that you form a Y shape. Step forward and hold for 10-15 seconds, then switch feet.

His advice was to do this stretch as often as you use the bathroom at home (shoot for 3-5 times a day).

—————————————————————————

The next two stretchs don’t have pictures! If you can do these stretches with ease and want a more intense version, try using dumbbells and incorporating it into your workouts.

If you’ve ever done snow angels? Put your heels, butt, shoulders, and arms up against a wall (as much of your body as you possibly can should be touching the wall) and lift your arms up as high as you can go like you are making a snow angel.

Alternatively, lay down on the ground instead of up against a wall if you need to work your way up to lifting your arms above your head.

—————————————————————————

Again, with your body up against the wall, but this time with your arms in front of you, bring your arms up like Frankenstein’s monster, so that they are as high as your shoulders. Hold this for a few seconds.

—————————————————————————

After trying these stretchs, it’ll probably be clear where your range of motion is most limited. For me, the most useful stretches are the W and 90° angle doorway stretch and foam roller stretch, bc I have the most trouble with my lower shoulders and chest. Try to maintain your range of motion where you have it, and use these stretches to improve your range of motion where you are limited.

For all my binding buddies.

dweebunny -> dweebunny-personal

I don’t really use tumblr much anymore apart from posting art so. I decided to change this to “dweebunny personal” so I can use “dweebunny” over at my art account. Just a heads up! @dweebunny

howdy

I basically never use tumblr anymore apart from uploading stuff onto my art account over at @dweebrabbit and OC account at @moe-bow so I think once September hits I’m going to change the url of this personal account and change my art account to “dweebunny” for more consistency kgjxdg

might just change this to “dweebunny-personal” or even “dweebunny-archive” or something seeing how rarely I use it-

ANYWAY

so i guess activated charcoal lattes are the newest latte trend? for why? i hate to break it to y’all but unless you’ve ingested poison recently, activated charcoal has no real benefits. just stick to matcha [polyphenols/ antioxidants] and chai [antioxidants+anti-inflammatory]

also, if you’re on any important medications, and i know a lot of you are, don’t fucking drink these. charcoal doesn’t discriminate. it’ll render your meds useless and absorb them too as well as some other beneficial nutrients

^^^^ including hormonal birth control. Don’t fall for the charcoal bullshit. Stay safe.

We have definitely had this discussion before, but it’s worth having again.

And charcoal doesn’t just absorb meds. It just absorbs stuff. So all that healthy crap you added to your smoothie is just gonna get sucked right back up by the charcoal.

(yes I’m simplifying, no that does not make my warning useless)

Activated charcoal is really good for stopping boxing gloves and gym bags etc from smelling.

For the same reason you shouldn’t eat it lmao

Hey everyone! So much crap has been happening in my life the past weeks that I haven’t been able to give the proper attention to my kickstarter campaign… The “Dreamland Protectors” campaign has 1 month to go! If you haven’t checked it out yet give a peek at our perks and see if one interests you. If you haven’t heard then allow me to explain. Right now there’s a campaign running on Indiegogo for a standalone comic I’ve been working on the past year. The comic is complete but I’ll only be able to publish it if the kickstarter succeeds. If you can’t donate/aren’t interested, spreading the word around about the campaign helps a ton! Thanks for your time! >>Dreamland Protectors campaign<<
