do you think there was a glader who was talented at singing and maybe wanted to be a famous singer before wicked like a little kids fantasy and then he’d try write songs in the glade and try so hard to remember if he’s ever heard a song and why doing that was so important to him

i think about it a lot like if a kid had a passion for an art before the swipe would he somehow know and try to reinvent it in the glade despite not being able to remember a single example of it

thomas: you know how gally always makes me kiss the floor after we've had a disagreement? well, lately i’ve taken to kissing the floor whenever i see him coming, just to save time.

this quote in this context can be interpreted as newtmas but i like to also think about book alby in the glade, getting his memories back and realizing that newt would never survive outside of the glade and being terrified of escaping for that reason, he knows getting out of the maze will mean losing newt and there’s nothing he can do about it because ultimately he is the leader and it is his job to make the hard choices and put the needs of the many above the needs of the one and in this case if he makes everyone stay they will all die, not just newt. he has no choice but to give everyone a chance even though it means he knows newt has no chance. patroclus knew he would lose achilles because of the prophecy and alby knew he would lose newt because of the memories he got from the changing and then ultimately it lead both of them to their deaths before the person who it was foretold would die
