Beyoncé doesn’t get the radio hits or big singles anymore and hasn’t done for awhile but she still moves albums, is critically acclaimed and fills stadiums, this is who Taylor should focus on emulating, stop trying to get hits with dumbed down material especially when she’s releasing bubblegum pop in the streaming era which only proves she’s out of touch with what the dominant music styles are right now. She’s 30 and radio is agist so she needs to focus on building a legacy.
Good point. She doesn’t need to cater to teenagers. She can put out quality work like Lover and Cruel Summer, and the Archer. Beyoncé drops visuals like none other. Taylor can do that. She doesn’t have to spend 8 weeks teasing a single. She can drop it and go about her business.
