Hi loves, I’m sorry for being inactive. I’ve been going through a hard time right now and I haven’t even opened my game. I lost my dog earlier this year and now my cat, combined with the stress of everything else has sent me into a spiral. I’m okay, I’m safe and I have a doctor and therapist I’m working with. Once I start feeling a bit better I’ll come back, but I just wanted to mention I’m taking a mental health break.

I appreciate the pride posts acknowledging that the blacklivesmatters protests are still important and should still be focused on. However, I think it’s important to note that the phrase “remember black and brown queer poc fought for you” is kinda tone deaf. While indirectly true, black and brown were organizing and fighting for themselves because the other lgbt+ organizing astronomically was centered around whiteness. This twitter thread explains it better than I can right now, but while these posts are well intentioned it’s kind of a very broad stroke of those events.
