ive spent a fun seven years with this url and it’s so crazy to think that ive met so many people with it and through it. ill always appreciate the memories I made with people — through the tags and the reblogs and the tag shrieking. thank you all so much for that 💜

i am a person of new beginnings, though, and ive decided to start over anew. new blog, new url, new jazz to put on your dash. ive run up a queue to post while I transition, and while I’m not sure of the exact date, im fairly sure it’ll be run through in about 30 days— which is on May 20th, 2022.

If your name doesn’t fit you, you deserve to change it. Even if your family thinks it’s a beautiful name. Even if you’ve had for a long time. Even if you’ve already changed it, and are scared of what might happen when you change it again. Even if you’re cis, and the name ”belongs” to another gender. Even if you’re trans, and the name “belongs” to your assigned gender.

It’s your name, you should get a say in it.

Even if you're cis and it DOES conform to your gender!!! Like even if you're a cis dude named Todd and decide to be a cis dude named Jeff. That's still fine!

Using subtitles as a supplement really shows how subtitles will just. Shamelessly skip parts of the dialogue. Chunks of sentences just get left out entirely.

i've used subtitles since childhood due to having auditory processing issues. when i was a kid, this happened VERY rarely. And when the subtitles WERE bad, people would point out the error. We should not have to put up with this today.

Inaccurate subtitles are BAD subtitles. Subtitles that are out of sync with the video are BAD subtitles. Streaming services should be held accountable for doing a bad job with accessibility.
