i just have, a lOT of thoughts of marisa being a very competent, smart and beguiling woman who knows her way around all human emotions and how to play with them in the repressed society that is lyra’s world and then mary, utterly unbound by the rules and morals of that world is like oh no yes i am very interested in you and your work, do tell me more! with no bluffs or second meanings and marisa just errors out.
