The Mandalorian and His Foundlings

Characters: Din Djarin, Baby Yoda, and a nameless little girl

Theme: family, purpose, and acceptance (family fluff time)

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

Title Crawl: The Mandalorian, Din Djarin, found himself in a precarious situation that none of his training or swearing of the Creed could have prepared him for: finding the foundlings. What was supposed to be a routine bounty hunt that promised a handsome reward, turned into an unexpected change of the heart and journey that leads him to have his beliefs turned upside down. He will learn what it means to care for beings that are unable to help themselves and to teach another of belonging and acceptance, something he never believed he would ever do. There will be many overwhelming feelings, awkward questions, angst, and a discovery that family is the only thing that truly matters.

Me reblogging the first chapter of a fic that I started and abandoned in March 2020 and hoping my own guilt trip will push me to actually continue this like:

"i would die for you" this, "i'd walk through fire for you that"

what about "i'd live for you" romances? what about "i never thought i'd be worth the work it would take to piece myself together"?

what about "i don't believe i'm worth it, but for you i'll try"

Also, my personal favorite "I accepted that I was doomed long ago, but finding you makes me want to live again"

fever

“Wh- what,” he questions breathlessly. “Mesh’la.” “Huh? Mando, please listen to me right now—” “Mesh’la,” he repeats again, his hands trying to grab your face but they miss. “Mesh’la—” You grimace slightly, heart racing as his gloved hands graze your cheeks weakly.

din is completely out of it due to blood loss from an injury. you try to heal him, but he's just totally unaware and feverish...ooooo

(this is for you, 🪬 <3)

warnings: canon-typical violence, descriptions of injuries

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

OKAY YEAH I REMEMBER THIS ONE Basically it came from a survey done by Bank of America.  Of only their customers.  Of only those customers that had a long term savings account with them.  And only surveyed 1500 of them.  And that, friends, is how statistics is used to lie!!

Always ask who ran the survey, the study, the poll, ask how many people were involved, and ask about the breakdown of the demographics.

As someone who had to study statistics, this is important to know. So important that it’s one of the first things they taught me. “You can prove anything with statistics.”
