Hey! Just a little update.

Because of real-life stuff I’m doing nowadays and having less time to devote to sims, I’ve asked to drop out of the EA Game Changers program. So I’m no longer an EA Game Changer, but I hope everyone who’s in the program continues to have a good time!

As for my blog, I’m still playing sims and making stuff but at a much slower pace right now, so I’ll be back with stuff in a while.

FORMAL MAXI DRESS

Uhh so I found these in my projects folder and I forgot I made them months ago? I even had preview pictures and custom thumbs made for it and everything, it was entirely done, I literally just forgot to actually put them up for download.

Anyway, these are my favourite formal dresses, the mesh is by @leeleesims1 and they’re my go-to if I need a bunch of sims in some simple formal dresses for a wedding or prom or whatever. There’s two versions, one with a white skirt + colorful top, and one with the full dress colorful. They’re recoloured in the Matte Palette.

Also, I’m pretty sure these are unisex compatible (I forget and I’m not in a position to check in CAS right now, but according to S4S I had it tagged as such when I finished it, soooo... I’m just gonna trust past-me on this one?)

They both need the mesh by leeleesims1, called the ‘Strappy Maxi’, and you can find it HERE.

BASIC BRIEFS

My favourite briefs in the game are these ones by Katai on MTS. They’re old files and have been broken since many patches ago, and I have wanted to salvage the textures for a long time but didn’t really get around to it. Mainly because, I wanted to make sure they were true unisex, and that requires retexturing and repainting on my part to cover all of the gender and frame options. I got around to it now, though, and came up with these.

  • Three heights: brief, boxer-brief and longer boxer-brief.
  • All of these are tagged as Masculine fashion choice regardless of frame or gender, so check for them there.
  • They have custom thumbnails and are colour tagged for convenience.
  • The child versions look the same as the adult versions. Just kid-sized.

Credit goes to Katai at MTS for the original textures, I just edited them.

WINTER recolor pack

Hey, hope you had a nice Simblreen if you participated this year! I’m back and I have a couple recolors to put up.

Here’s a pack of 20 EA recolors from various packs, all focused around the theme of cold-weather clothing for winter. The palette I used is the brand new Matte Fabrics palette.

You may notice, while looking at the download guide, that most of the items in this pack are Masculine frame meshes. But almost all of these items are unisex compatible-- which means if you want to use most of these items on a Feminine frame sim, you can do so, just by making sure you check in the Masculine ‘Fashion Choice’ tag in CAS!

Information

For a full guide of everything you’re going to get in this pack, what EP’s you need for each item, and which items are unisex compatible, check out this handy guide post I made for all of the info!

Some general information you should know about these:

  • Everything is color tagged and has custom thumbnails.
  • Not every item uses the full Matte Fabrics palette, but that’s the general idea of what you can expect!
  • Most of these items are unisex, using unedited EA meshes. For more information on my unisex clothing downloads, visit my unisex info page here!
  • The download is a zip folder that includes each of the packages as well as the thumbnails for each, so you can pick and choose which ones you want.

That’s all for now, thanks!

AUTUMN recolor pack

Hey! I released this pack for the Simblreen event and now that the weekend’s over, I’m putting it up for the public.

Here’s a pack of 31 EA recolors from various packs, all focused around the theme of cool-weather clothing for autumn. The palette I used is the brand new Matte Fabrics palette.

  • Most items that have more than one ‘layer’ of clothing (example: A jacket and a shirt) are paired with brown or grey/black jackets. I thought this was the most realistic/versatile.
  • Most of these items are unisex, using unedited EA meshes. For more information on my unisex clothing downloads, visit my unisex info page here!
  • The download is a zip folder that includes each of the packages as well as the thumbnails for each, so you can pick and choose which ones you want.

That’s all for now, hope you’re having a good October and that your sims can bundle up as the breeze gets cooler!

MATTE FABRICS

This is the new palette I’m using for clothing recolors. I wanted to make a palette that was less bright, more ReShade-preset-friendly than what I was using before!

I don’t always use the full palette when I’m recoloring clothing, sometimes I’ll only use the darker shades or only use the lighter shades, sometimes I skip the white if the other parts of the shirt are white already, and sometimes for pants, skirts, or jackets I include a ‘true’ black (which is a bit darker than the black that comes with the regular palette).

Generally, when it comes to clothing items that have multiple ‘layers’ (for example, a coat over a sweater over a collared shirt), I make the outer layer a shade of brown matched with one of the non-brown colors, and white for the innermost shirt layer.

I saw some people really nervous about trick-or-treating this year, and I just wanted to make this for blogs to share and show they’re an anxiety safe zone for people who are apprehensive about trick-or-treating off anon.

Reblog if your tumblr is an anxiety safe zone for Simmers who are a bit nervous to trick-or-treat this year. We promise you won’t be turned down, you won’t get any tricks, just Sims goodies and wishes for a happy Halloween. :)

Be sure to RT during Simblreen 2019 weekend, which is October 18th, 20th and 21st! The last chance weekend will be held October 25th, 26th and 27th.

You have to go off anon to get the exclusive download links from creators, which is intimidating to a lot of people with social anxiety. The good news is that most creators choose to release their CC to the public after Simblreen, so you’ll still be able to download things even if you’re afraid to trick-or-treat.

Also, creators, please remember that this is a fun, horror-free event, so please do not include any links to jump scares, gruesome photos or anything else that could be traumatizing to your site visitors.

Have fun and happy treating! ~ @lunasysims

Hey all! I hope everyone has fun this year and feels included and stress-free. My ‘trick’ last year was a cute picture of a bunny in a pumpkin costume, so that’s the kind of level of ‘scary’ that you can expect over here, hahaha.

Looking forward to seeing everyone hanging out and searching for treats!

THE BASIC SNEAKER

These are two perfectly good shoes from the basegame that just didn’t have colors that I ever wanted. So I recolored them a whole bunch and now everyone will be able to find a sneaker that they enjoy. Hooray!

The solids and patterns are in separate packages, so pick whatever ones you like for whatever age you’d like.

OCT. 14th 2019 UPDATE:  Hey, I just updated these because I finally figured out how to fix the issue some people were experiencing with the sim’s ankles getting wonky with some outfits, and the Feminine frame version of this sneaker now looks better. You can redownload it at the same download link as before, above, just replace the old files!

POINTED FLATS

Found a really cute mesh for pointed flats so I recolored it. Now I use these all the time, and there’s a color that’ll pretty much match anything because I did the entire Matte Palette this time.

  • These are unisex, find them for Masculine frames by checking the Feminine tag.
  • You need the mesh by Fairywitch, go get it here.

HIGH- WAISTED YOGA LEGGINGS and BASIC JEANS

Good evening! Okay, so today I have two different pairs of pants that use the same meshes as each other-- some yoga leggings and some nice simple jeans!

Features:

  • Both pants are unisex, but the meshes for Masculine and Feminine frames are slightly different. The one I could find for Masculine frames that matched the best was from Spa Day, so for the Masculine version of these pants you’ll need to have Spa Day. Otherwise, they pretty much look identical and use the same textures.
  • Found under the Feminine tag on both frames.
  • The yoga pants and jeans both come in 28 Matte Palette colours, but the jeans also come in an expanded palette of colours you’d typically find on jeans in real life. I think there’s a colour in there for everyone.

Hi, Jack! Hope you're having an excellent Friday! I'm interested in making CC clothing that are formatted to fit both male and female frames, like you've done with several of your downloadables. Is there a tutorial you've used to accomplish this, or would you mind sharing how you go about the process of converting from one frame to another? Thanks, Kate

Hi! I’ve actually struggled to do this for quite a bit because I didn’t understand how the frame/gender tags etc worked, I’ve only just started to get the hang of it so I don’t have a ton of great advice but I’ll tell you what I generally have been doing and maybe that’ll help!

BASIC TROUSERS

Hello! So there’s these trousers that came with the Get to Work EP and they’re my favourite in the whole game... except for one thing. The pants are straight-legged and end above the ankles. Which is fine, if you’re dressed for that specifically, but in most situations I don’t want my sims’ socks or ankles showing in formal pants!

So what I did is I modified the texture to fit on a basegame trouser mesh which fit in a way that I preferred. Then, I recolored it in two palettes. One is bright colours and the other are subtle shades that you typically will see these kind of trousers in.

These are base game and don’t require a mesh. I think that’s all I have to say! (Other than, ‘doesn’t Frank look like the worst Yakuza protagonist ever... I keep hearing this...’)

I.L. STRAPPY HALTER

So there was a really cute swim top/halter top that came with Island Living, but it was only available under a jacket! It didn’t have a version without the jacket. I was kind of baffled because it was such a cute top, why not free it.

So I took the front, separated it, combined it with a base game crop top and painted the details. Now I can use it for swimming, yoga, etc.

It doesn’t require a mesh and it doesn’t require Island Living, either. Hooray!

BACK TO BASICS

Hello! I know I’ve released so many bras and panties before but I’m always re-making them.

Today I have a set that includes:

  • My typical ‘hiked-up’ underwear that sits higher than underwear that comes with the game. This time, I have specifically went out of my way to make sure that they will fit properly on Masculine frames as well, underneath and at the sides, instead of just allowing the Feminine texture for both frames (as I did in the past). Now they have the optimal fit for everyone, no gaps no problem. To find them, make sure you have Feminine style ticked in CAS.
  • A very basic bra originally made by @houseofabsurdities, which I love.
  • Each come in 42 colours from my Matte Palette.
  • No meshes are required.

DISABLE EA STUFF FROM RANDOM

A mini tutorial. Because my life changed when I did this a while ago. Using this tutorial, you can achieve the following things:

  • game-generated walkby sims and other strangers won’t have nonsense outfits anymore and will make more sense
  • pressing the randomize buttons in CAS won’t give you sims that have bracelets, hats and other unwanted things that you’ll just end up removing and re-doing anyway, ultimately saving time and sanity

Since taking the time to do this, a lot of things have felt more convenient and less silly. Since I couldn’t find a specific tutorial for doing this from a quick google I thought I’d show you how. It’s easy!
