“young adult dystopian novels are so unrealistic lmao like they always have some random teenage girl rising up to inspire the world to make change.”
a hero emerges
And just like in the novels, grown men and women are going out of their way to destroy her. Support our hero.
And it’s not even like it doesn’t happen regularly.
Teenage girls are amazing.
Sometimes they’re not even teenagers
Reblog every time a girl is discredited/ignored
Who they are:
Emma Gonzalez
Malala Yousafzai
Ruby Bridges
Greta Thunberg
Mari Copeny
Autumn Peltier
Afreen Khan
Sophie Cruz
Charlottesville Black Students Union
Naomi Wadler
DAPL protestors (names not found)
Ahed Tamimi
This isn’t a coincidence. Revolutions almost always happen when the population of a country is at its youngest and that’s a lot more true nowadays with social media.
Honestly if you’re female and you’re called for jury duty and during the elimination process you’re asked if you’ve ever had any adverse experience with a man (harrassment or rape or any other male violence) just fuckin lie and say no. Then vote that fucker guilty
Women survivors are barred from serving on a jury but rapists are not even questioned. There can be no doubt that this is a major reason rapists walk free. Men have never played fair. It is time for women to start beating them at their own game. Our lives depend on it.
please don’t attack me I-
Female pedophiles are just as bad as the male ones and they both deserve the same punishment
And you’re more than welcome to unfollow if you think otherwise 👍
This blog is pro-choice and believes that Women have an absolute right to decide what to do with their own body and should be given the absolute best when it comes to their health and safety.
I hope Avengers sometimes go to Strange like “I need your help” and he’s like “What’s wrong? Skrulls? Hydra?” and they’re like “I’m congested and it hurts when I swallow.”
You think they ever approach Vision in a similar manner to complain about how the wi-fi router keeps kicking them off the network?
Well, NOW I do.
Peter Parker calls Steve Rogers at midnight and he shows up at Aunt May’s in full uniform, shield at the ready. “You said something about Nazis? Let’s go.”
And Peter’s standing in the doorway in pajamas and like, pikachu slippers, and he’s like, “The AP history test is tomorrow. I need you to tell me everything you know.”
Alternately, I’m now picturing Wanda going to basically anyone else and trying to talk about some issues she and Vis are having, and universally, they all just go “Have you tried turning him off and turning him back on again?”
There are so many good comments on this post but this one deserves a special shout-out.
Peter: So what do you remember about the JFK assassination?
Bucky: I think I killed him
Peter: alrighty then
this entire thing is glorious
My taste in music ranges from “you need to listen to this” to “I know, please don’t judge me.”
Everyone : Thanos is the strongest being in the galaxy
Peter Parker, knowing exactly who Matt from Wii Sports is: :/
dorkkkkkk
Winter :(
I’ve felt so unmotivated and sad all winter but that’s expected bc of S.A.D but like it’s still so rainy and dark and I’m not feeling much better so that sucks
Aunt May Appreciation Post
Let’s talk about this scene
It really spoke to me, because usually the job of teaching a boy to tie a tie is left up to the father figure. Peter’s parents are dead, and Ben died the year before. Ben would have taught Peter to tie his own tie for homecoming, had he still been alive. This means the job was left to May. As we can see she clearly doesn’t know how to tie a tie, and in true modern day fashion turns to videos on the internet, but get this. She’s learning to tie it with him. I repeat. Instead of putting the video on and letting him have at it, she’s also learning along with him.
I appreciate Iron dad and spiderson as much as the next person, but I think we often forget that May was forced to transition from aunt by marriage, to mother figure. Then when Ben passed, she took on the role of being an aunt, mother, and father to Peter. She’s raising a teenage boy all on her own.
Half of both her and Peter’s support system is gone, and she manages to keep on like a trooper, while still supporting Peter.
She truly is an amazing woman who deserves such love and recognition.
We larb you too Aunt May.
