5 ft 105 lbs girl, whose name has not been officially released yet, was brutalized by Hagerstown police after she on her bike was hit by a car, but refused medical assistance.
Her family’s attorney says that when police arrived, they grabbed the little girl, lifted her hands above her head and slammed her face into a wall.
She was put in the car, which is when a bystander began filming the incident. The video shows the 15-year-old with her hands handcuffed behind her back kicking at the police car door and later a cop is heard saying: “Put your feet in, or you’re going to get sprayed!” Officer proceeds to pepper spray her a few times.
The girl was only taken to hospital when she was released to her parents.
She is now charged with disorderly conduct, two counts of second-degree assault, possession of marijuana and failure to obey a traffic device.

just keep in mind they took Dylan Roof into custody wearing a bullet proof vest to protect him from anyone that may try to kill him THEN they bought him Burger King to eat after the arrest.
But this is how they treat an innocent child.
This is why we don’t care, or even celebrate, when cops get killed. I have no sympathy for these people.
I don’t care that she is an honor student. I care that she’s a child who deserves safety and justice.

Robert Eads was a transgender man who transitioned later in life and as such it was deemed inadvisable for him to seek sex reassignment surgery. As i’m sure many of you have heard, the Trump administration just passed a ruling that would remove LGBT+ anti-discrimination protections in health care and health insurance. I immediately thought of this man’s story when I heard about the ruling. Stories like this are the reason why those protections are necessary.
It’s easy to feel hopeless with all the bad news our community has been bombarded with recently. But we have to keep fighting, and one way we can fight is through legal means.

trump really rolled back healthcare protections for lgbt people during pride month AND on the day of the 4 year anniversary of the pulse nightclub shooting. i don’t know why i’m even shocked at this point but i still feel physically ill
while this is going to affect lgbt people in general because we are now at risk of being charged higher premiums or fees for being lgbt or at risk of being completely denied healthcare for simply existing it’s especially going to affect trans men and trans women. i know there is a lot happening right now but please don’t let this go unnoticed. they are purposely passing these anti-lgbt laws right now because they know with the protests going on it’s an ideal time to do so. it’s an evil, underhanded tactic. don’t let them get away with keeping us in the dark about this.
