You wanna know the most impressive part?

Rob Paulsen regularly performs this live. This is just one of the many videos of him performing it. No notes, no help, just performed from memory.

my favorite teacher had this whole thing memorized :))

Sometimes an artist just finds a niche and runs with it.

Take Eduard von Grützner, for example. German painter back in the early 1900s. He tried a whole bunch of stuff over the course of his career, but eventually he settled into doing paintings of fat, sassy monks drinking booze.

Just tubby old priests getting plastered.

He did dozens of these things.

Today it’s literally all he’s known for.

You do your thing, Eddie. You do your thing.

I’m obliged to reblog this because the bottom one was my icon for about 2 years

Imagine if someone handed you a box full of all the items you have lost throughout your life

“Oh wow my childhood innocence! Thank you for finding this,”

“my will to live! i haven’t seen this in 15 years!”

“I knew I lost that potential somewhere!”

Consider:

  • Victorian England: 1837-1901
  • American Old West: 1803-1912
  • Meiji Restoration: 1868-1912
  • French privateering in the Gulf of Mexico: ended circa 1830

Conclusion: an adventuring party consisting of a Victorian gentleman thief, an Old West gunslinger, a disgraced former samurai, and an elderly French pirate is actually 100% historically plausible.
