Fair warning this will not be listed in a specific timeline, I'm just going down the list of characters and specific scenes I have in mind. So it is not to be considered one scene after another.
Bruce Adopts Dick
So Bruce still adopts Dick because he feels he can help Dick through the loss of his parents.
Dick wants to catch his parents killer so Bruce tentatively agrees to it. He asks Lucius Fox to supply walkie talkies, and safety equipment like body armor or bullet proof vests, so that Dick and him can ask The Batman for help. (I wasn't sure if the original post was having someone else be batman or no batman, so I'm going with someone else is batman)
Before they get to Batman Dick has run off to catch his parents killer giving Bruce a mini heart attack as he tries to find him, only to find Zucco's men instead. Bruce trips over his feet as he tries to get away and ends up knocking stuff over resulting in most of zucco's men getting locked inside.
Dick on the other hand found a chandelier to swing on but didn't realize the ceiling was rotting away. As soon as he swings forward intending to get close enough to Zucco to record his gloating on a phone, the chandelier crashes to the ground knocking out zucco and his right hand man.
Bruce takes Dick home both unharmed and says that never again will he or one of his, ever attempt to take on the villains of Gotham. His heart simply can't take it.
Cue Jason
Bruce and Dick are on their way home from a gala. The road is dark and They end up with a flat tire. Bruce stops the car and starts to change the tire.
After a little while they hear a surprise yell and someone angrily demanding what is going on.
Dick immediately goes to see despite Bruce telling him to stay and get in the car.
Bruce hurries after Dick.
He rounds the corner stopping beside Dick and sees Batman arguing with a boy who quite obviously was trying to steal the tires from the batmobile.
Bruce and Dick can see the fear that the boy is trying to hide so Dick calls out to him. "You still think you don't need glasses. Our cars over here."
Bruce does everything in his power not to act surprised at Dicks words.
The boy and Batman stare at them.
Dick waves to the boy. "You're taking the tire off of the wrong car."
The boy immediately runs towards Dick avoiding Batman's glare. Dick follows leaving Bruce to apologize to the vigilante.
After stumbling through an excuse he gets back to his car to find Dick Has adopted Jason who already has the spare on the car.
Tim Gets Adopted
Tim joins the family after being paired with Jason in a school assignment in one of his many advanced classes that basically puts him in Jason's grade.
The two of them are working at the dining room table hunched over dozens of note books, charts, and two laptops that appear to be running some sort of test.
Bruce walks in says hi and then asks what sort of assignment they are working on and which class.
Jason casually says that they finished their assignment hours ago.
Without looking up Tim says they are looking into the identity of Batman.
Jason tells Bruce that Tim has collected a lot of information and thinks he could figure it out.
Bruce glances at all the work, looking at a few of the notebooks and asks how he was able to get all this information. Worried about the answer.
Without missing a beat Tim says that he has been following Batman around at night when his parents aren't home which is most of the time.
Bruce reaches for his phone but Jason hands him his. The number for the main branch for the Wayne lawyers office is already dialing.
Tim is officially adopted a few weeks later and Bruce puts a stop to following Batman.
The Gordons and the Waynes
Now officer Gordon has had a lot of pressure to find out the identity of Batman but has struggled. There simply isn't much evidence and the evidence has been tainted by Vicki Vale's articles comparing Batman's butt to Gotham socialite Bruce Wayne's.
It doesn't help that every other weekend it seems that Mr. Wayne or one of his adopted sons are stopping crime in the city.
Some of the most well known take downs included but not limited to
- Running over the joker during driving lessons
- Science experiment on Gravity reminds us Penguins are flightless birds
- Scavenger hunt interrupts Riddler's bombing attempt.
To attempt to at least clear Mr. Wayne from the list of suspects Gordon asks his daughter to befriend her classmate Dick Grayson.
Barbara easily makes friends with Dick and it isn't long before she can with out a doubt prove that Bruce isn't Batman.
Gordon now knows it's not Bruce, but the cost of that knowledge is now his daughter also accidentally and sometimes unknowingly stops crime with Bruce and his kids.
Damian's Origins
Ra's al Ghul has heard enough about the Wayne family.
He wants to know more especially since Deathstroke, the man who is supposed to one day take over the league, refuses to return to Gotham if the job is to attempt to assassinate any of the Wayne's or their friends.
Ra's sends Talia to see who this Bruce Wayne is. Talia arrives in Gotham in time to watch Bruce unintentionally trip the Riddler as he was trying to pick up Tim's homework that was flying out of his backpack as he skated away on his skateboard. All the assassin sees is a handsome man who took out an annoying villain single handedly, with one fail swoop. The fact that it looked like a bow in her direction didn't escape her notice.
Bruce of course hadn't realized that he had even looked her way as he was grumbling and picking up his sobs homework. He grabs the last paper and gets in his car he doesn't have time for this he is supposed to be getting ready for a charity gala.
Bruce goes to the gala while alfred stays to make sure Dick gets all of his homework completed.
Talia is waiting at the gala to learn more about Bruce. She has already told her father about his excellent skills in fighting, add that to is impossibly large failed attempts on his life and she has already decided that she wants him as her beloved.
Before she has so much as a chance to ask for a dance she gets to watch Bruce stop two face and his men.
She doesn't realize Bruce taking out the lights successfully dodging bullets and knocking Two face himself down a flight of stairs was a complete accident
Before two face had entered the room Bruce had noticed a plug that appeared to be needing plugged in.
Two face came in and Bruce plugged what turned out to be a 50-watt line into a 10-watt power-strip. Everything else that followed was him just trying to get to the fuse box to fix his mistake.
Talia keeps an eye on Bruce for a few months before deciding to slip something into his drink.
Bruce has very little memory of that night, and whatever Talia put in his drink messed with his thoughts to the point he couldn't correct her as she went on and on about how amazing and skilled warrior he was.
Damian is born 9 months later and Talia vows to return to her beloved one day after she has trained their son to be just as great as his father.
Stephanie
(I personally love a good StephxTim story)
Stephanie gets a crush on Tim after her unintentionally gets her dad arrested. While Tim isn't as oblivious as the others over stopping crime, he had thought he was just playing a game. He didn't realize that he wasn't the one who was supposed to be playing.
They start dating after Stephanie saves Tim from a hit her dad had placed on him.
Jason's Death an Return to Living
Joker had enough of the Wayne's ruining his plans. He very rarely got to see the supposed vigilante of Gotham because he was always being thwarted by the Wayne's.
It took him multiple attempts but after sealing a day With Ra's al ghul, granted the man had no clue what he was really planning, he finally managed to snatch a Wayne brat.
Bruce's second son went out with a bang Joker bragged unknown to him that Ra's was near by.
Ra's hurriedly retrieved Jason's body and destroyed any evidence of what had happened. He couldn't allow Bruce Wayne to believe his son had died so instead he sent a message that he had taken the boy and would demand ransom at a later time.
He revived Jason using the pits, all the while keeping up with the kidnapping ruse.
Talia and Ra's argued about turning Jason into an assassin during the time he was with them. It was decided that Jason would be trained to be Damian's body guard.
Jason was helped to quickly overcome the pit rage so he could be near baby Damian.
One night while Jason was watching over Damian, Dick Barbara, Tim, and Stephanie enter the room.
It takes Jason a moment but he remembers them. In shock he asks how they managed to get there and more importantly how they got past the guards.
Stephanie gives him a look and says "What, like it's hard?"
Dick says they need to get out while they can, before their rescue attempt goes south.
Tim explains that Jason was kidnapped and held for ransom but no matter how much Bruce offered to pay Ra's still refused. Bruce offered them everything and that wasn't enough. So Tim used his old skills to find Jason.
Jason is mad that Talia and Ra's were keeping him captive claiming otherwise though. He picks up Damian and asks them how they got there.
Dick asks why they are taking the baby.
Jason says he overheard Talia say he is Bruce Wayne's son. The took one of his Kids so they are bringing back all of them. He asks again how they got there.
Tim says the got superman to ask the justice league for help. They are out fighting the assassins, happy to help after all the times the Wayne's have stopped an alien invasion.
Jason asks what they mean.
Barbara says it apparently has something to do with their different firework shows the past few years. Especially their impromptu one last Halloween.
They end up strolling through the leagues base back to the javelin as the justice league finishes the fight with Ra's
The flight home is filled with offers to join the leagues younger group of heroes but the Wayne family all say that their dad would never allow it. He wouldn't want them to constantly be in danger. The flash goes to make a comment but superman stops him. He tells him that it is pointless the Wayne's are clueless when it comes to their natural skills for crime fighting.
You Can Take The Baby From the League But You Can't Take Away His Skills
The news, and conspiracy theorists all claim that Bruce's son is either a Super Baby or Genetically Enhanced, a Robot. Simply because he stops crime nearly twice as much as his brothers and he is a baby.
- Pulls can out from bottom of the pyramid Robber is crushed under the collapse.
- Catwoman caught in the act after distracted by baby Wayne in Cat fashion with cat ear hoodie..
- Joker hit in the eye by flying pacifier. Flees bank when 3 older Wayne Sons chase after it.
- Baby Wayne can now walk. All is quiet in Gotham for nearly 2 weeks after the Baby is spotted
Cassandra Joins family
Cassandra was sent by her mother to prove herself a worthy assassin by being the one to kill the Wayne's.
Cassandra studies the Wayne's and doesn't understand why they are considered such formidable foes.
They don't fight villains, they survive the assassination attempts purely out of sheer dumb luck.
The more she watches them the more she finds them enduring. She protects them, war he's as they unintentionally thwart the villains of Gotham and after a little while she decides to join them.
She walks into the Wayne house and settles in immediately. She goes as far as to sit with them at dinner.
Bruce is lost in work and doesn't notice her, the children are all wondering which one brought her into the family.
Alfred sighs when he sees another grandchild added to the family without him given any time to prepare for her. He tells Bruce to put his stuff away so they can eat.
Bruce does and glances at his family coming up short when he sees Cassandra. He sighs andbe h h5p
asks which one adopted the new sibling.
Duke
Bruce and the kids are having a nice evening at home when there is a knock on the French doors leading outside to the gardens.
Alfred opens the door and Batman comes in he isn't alone though. He has a young teen with a bag.
Batman says that Bruce is the man who keeps taking in all the kids that are risking their lives fighting Gotham crime.
A couple of the kids argue while the others ask what he means.
Batman says that Bruce is taking in Duke, so he can at least make sure everyone who is making things difficult on him are in one family.
And the last one I have, I Promise, I know this is long.
Wayne Tech Supplies Batman's gadgets
Bruce Wayne is called into the downtown police station.
One of the crooked cops working for black mask is trying arrest Bruce for working for Batman, supplying him the tools that is causing property damage, injuries, and even death.
The cop managed to get a warrant from another crooked employee this time a judge.
He grabs a large box and starts removing gadgets. Asking him why these were made if not for batman.
Grappling hook- Oldest son spent early childhood as an acrobat. The grappling hook was a temporary replacement Dick used while Bruce had a trapeze added to the family gym.
Why a grappling hook? Dick liked heroes and already attempted to make his own. Bruce needed to keep him safe otherwise he would have been taken away. So he had Lucius make something safe for Dick.
Smoke pellets- Jason's class at Gotham academy had to provide a presentation on fire safety. Jason's part was what to do when the smoke made it hard or impossible to see. Jason got an A+ for his part of the assignment.
Hand held tracking device- "Do you know how many teenagers live in my household? How quickly my toddler can leave my sight?"
Plastique- Lucius made it after he almost lost Damian who had taken off running towards the street. The older kids now use it to stop him since he is so fast.
Cryptographic Sequencer- Tim made that to hack into his brother's phone to listen in on his date. Bruce confiscated it and took it to work as punishment.
Sonic Batarang- Bruce admits that he isn't sure where that came from. He had complained to Alfred that he couldn't take all the yelling that was going on in the house, and he needed something loud to pierce through all the noise. The next day Alfred gave him that noise machine ironically in the shape of a bat.
Gordon finally manages to get inside and ends the interrogations, Bruce's lawyer was also with him.
Bruce goes home while Gordon and the Lawyer deal with the corrupt cops and judges.
At home Bruce is sitting in his study. All the kids are in bed and he can finally relax.
After a while he realized he wasn't alone. He turns to see Batman.
Batman asks Bruce if he could get some of the tools that the officer thought Bruce was already supplying him.
Bruce sighs and after a moment says he can't.
He can't in good conscience supply Batman with his gear because years ago he had vowed that his family wouldn't fight crime.
It was just too dangerous.
