“Are you….serious?” She seemed to be. Honestly, how could she ask such a stupid question after all this time? Ugh. Well he supposed he should be grateful she wasn’t upset about the relationship, in any case.

“Right well….anyway. You don’t need to worry about it, I’m not bringing her over or anything.” He’d avoided that for a little while now, and planned to keep doing so if he could help it.

' ' I may be in a happy mood because of this but I still will not tolerate your attitude Yuuya. I'm your older sister and I expect to be treated as such. ' '

Haruna sighed

' ' Look, you don't need to do anything you're uncomfortable with but, it would be nice if you did invite her to dinner at least once, I already have planned to have Tohko meet Kouki, your niece and your nephew on Sunday so would it really make a difference if you ever invited her over or not? ' '

Haruna then looked to the back of her store

' ' Listen we can talk about things later, I need to get some stuff sorted to prepare for today's order of flowers ' '

“You collect ladybugs~?  That sounds fun!  Ladybugs and butterflies are definitely my favorite bugs.”  Not to say Tohko had any particular interest in most insects.  For most she’d rather just hit them with some spray or a particularly heavy book.  That said, she wasn’t about to say that to a child with enough interest to start a collection!  Besides, ladybugs were pretty cute.  As for the other child, Tohko spotted him coming out of hiding and gave him a big smile for his efforts.

Ah, the senior year was one of the most important to teach.  It was the last chance (assuming everything was going well) to advise and guide a student, and it was their last year before college, work, and life really got started.  His answer had her thinking about her after graduation plans for a moment or two.  Most of her group had a pretty decent idea of what they wanted to do once they were finished with high school.  Chef, pharmacist, musician, hair stylist, dietitian, artist, athlete, scientist…Aaannd one of them that was still thinking about it!  They had lots of basis covered.

“It’s cool that it worked out so well!  For the both of you, I mean.  You both ended up right where you wanted to be.”  Looking out over at the kids for a moment, Tohko found herself curious about something.  "Is it hard balancing work and family?“  She knew that they had more or less raised Yuuya, which was something she might ask about when she knew them better.  ”I’ve always been an only child so my experience with little ones is limited to babysitting, heh.“

Kyouko smiled and put some ladybugs in a jar that she always kept with her when she went out. Ren finally was able to speak out to Tohko.

' ' I .. I hope I'm not interrupting.. but I have.. Have a question.. how did you meet uncle Yuuya? ' '

Kouki let Tohko respond to Ren and once she finished he got back to her question.

' ' Not really, I get home not too late and I have breaks during the year so I'm able to spend enough time with my family. ' '
