No doesn't exist digitally anymore. It's been replaced by Not Now or Maybe Later or Snooze Tumblr Live for the next 7 days or Sign In To Continue or We'll show you less like this (lie) or Schedule your restart otherwise we force it in 10 minutes. And I hate it all with the heat of the sun.

Alright this nonsense has to stop

So you see this

This is a tournament bracket. We set it up like this for a *reason.*

See the seeds on the side represent who is believed to be most likely to win the event as a whole. If you look closely you’ll see that it is set up so that people with a high seed are up against people with a low seed. You’ll also see that this is set up so that the 4 highest seeds are in different brackets from eachother.

The reason why this is done is so that we don’t have what should be grand finals matchups in round 1. We also do this so low seeds don’t just coast through the competition and make it to grand finals when they don’t actually deserve to be there, they just had no real competition to overcome.

As an added bonus to doing this, bracketing allows for very clear upsets. If you set up the bracket like this everyone knows who your top seeds are meant to be even if you don’t directly state it. So when seed 16 somehow beats seed 1 it really means something.

I know that it’s easier to just throw names on a list in no particular order and be done with, but I urge you to take some time to think about who is most likely to win whatever sexyman pole you’re doing and seed the bracket accordingly.

Believing in god should be like something you keep to yourself and never bring up in conversation or try to influence anyone to partake in like it should be everyone’s biggest dark hidden personal secret

in general i agree that encouraging unsourced twitter hysteria is a bad thing but there is absolutely a media blackout happening in ohio rn and posting links to the occasional news article about it doesnt necessarily disprove that. this is a major, entirely man-made and preventable environmental catastrophe that should be plastered across the news 24/7 but that didnt even get 10 minutes of weekend coverage on the most “left” liberal channels like pbs. this shit is being actively sidelined by alien balloon hysteria bc it’s a direct result of the conditions rail workers were set to strike over until the millionaire railroad bosses colluded with biden and congress to forcibly prevent them from doing so. the fact that people in east palestine are being told everything is safe and fine while fish float up dead in their rivers and streams is not invention or overstatement. meanwhile buttigieg still hasnt said shit about any of this and apparently has no plans to reinstate baseline safety regulations to prevent this from happening again in the future.

I don’t think we give medieval Muslims enough credit. Like medieval math was a categorical mess with the majority of it containing random bases with damn near no theory or cohesive understanding of what it is outside of “I have this much grain and that can, theoretically, be worth this much which is marginally more than what I have right now I think?”

These dudes loved Allah so much that they essentially invented math just so that they could continue to worship and pray - that’s honestly one of the most beautiful act of worship and devotion in history and I don’t think it’s given nearly enough credit.

Also, they made a specialty compass:

like, sure, they invented a ton of math in the process, but also, they hacked the earth's magnetic field to locate Mecca. Let's revel in that over-achievement for a bit.
