The common INTEREST that he found, for the THESIS that was, the RECITING OF STORIES and IT’S CIRCULAR manner, grew scarce, more so NONEXISTENT, WITHIN the mere space OF three to four seconds. Yes he had become bored, and the way that HIS eyes rolled themselves back INTO closed LIDS, and the subsequent drop OF the JAW thereafter, made SAID DISINTEREST very INTELLIGIBLE. But that TOPIC OF DISCUSSION, was one that FIZZLED out soon enough, before he held the urge to hurry the man on, and was replaced WITH A far more RIVETING theme. It would appear as though that the ghostly man was SPEAKING not OF FAIRYTALES, but OF the VILLAINS that so often TAINTED SAID STORIES. How CHARMING. “—Mhh-well I’d say you were BLUFFING,” moaned he, the spare hand, COMING to drum relaxed tunes onto the leather OF the CHAIR as the other, re-curled ITSELF INTO the handle OF the cup. “I’d say you were LOOKING for a place IN the papers. That IT was all IN your MIIIND,” false, all false, he knew there was far more to the man’s words, that there was some reason to them, but he could not RESIST the urge to JAB. “Unless you were to WHIP out some proof to add to your story.. JOURNALISTS love that. But I’m no messenger, my dear.”
A PLACE INSIDE THE PAPERS...an interesting maneuver. Louis had no need for the media. His attempt at such a thing ONCE, in America had fallen FLAT. The recital of his story was not what brought forth a sense of failure, but the RESPONSE given to him by the young reporter had soured everything Louis had sought to achieve by TELLING SOMEONE SOMETHING. With Daniel, it solidified for him that they were NOT READY right now.
& now, here he was, trying AGAIN with a different breed or human being, if one could say that & mean it as a compliment. The FAMILIARITY was almost a complete deterrent for Louis. To sit across from the man that MADE HIM what he was now & forever TRAPPED him in this shell that became nothing more than a PARASITE REFUSING TO LET GO WITH THE HOPE OF A BETTER PURPOSE---what purpose was he to have? What was LEFT for Louis now? Why did he continue to WALK when all he WANTED & WISHED FOR was for said feet to walk no more.
PROOF. They all wanted PROOF that what they heard was not an elaborate, neatly dressed lie. Louis was degraded to nothing more than a CIRCUS ACT for the one named MORIARTY in order to just hold his ear. ❛I know you're not a messenger.❜ In one BLINK of a human's eye, creatures like him to could TRAVEL with such speed & precision. & in that same BLINK, down Louis leaned, over his shoulder with arms behind his back (it could all be over just this fast), over the steady DRUMMING of his pulse.
❛Decorated criminals bring messengers to THEM to deliver, not the other way around.❜

it only took a MOMENT for her to look back up, hands no longer shaking from the brisk chill of the foggy surroundings. Whatever moments the two still had left this night would not be taken in VAIN, nor for GRANTED. If it was mere company he wished to keep, she was more than happy to oblige, for it meant that now they two could walk the streets a little while longer and BASK out loud about their thoughts. ‘ of course. ’ she spoke simply, turning on her heel slowly, taking small steps to lead. ‘ what is america like, louis ?? ’ she had wanted to see that land for some time, and many failed attempts later, she was still STUCK in the place he’d seen her last.
AMERICA IS WHERE I BECAME WHAT I AM; WHERE I MET HIM & WHERE I LOST EVERYTHING. I NEVER WANT TO STEP FOOT ON AMERICAN SOIL EVER AGAIN. The truth always made a more PROFOUND statement to others as opposed to something more colorful. But, it also brought with it a DISCOMFORT. With lies, the ability to dress it up as much as one would like, NO MATTER the consequence or the circumstance brought forth with it a certain APPEAL; so many FLOCKED to things that were colorful. It only showed the growing DECLINE that was to befall many. The features upon his face were light, almost non-existent while he followed in tow at her side.
❛It has EVERYTHING all at once. People, cultures, history. Many things have touched the soils of America & have left their mark upon its endless terrain. If you're lucky, you'll find a place within its ENDLESS FOLDS that reminds you of HOME. Or, if any were like him, they'd find an endless HELL with no home to speak for. COMFORT was not brought to the chained HAMSTER IN THE WHEEL; continuously attempting & running through the endless pages of his life. One can only run for long in a CONSTANT circle before the realize there is NO END to it all; That no matter what you tried to do or what you tried to get away from, it always found a way to STICK & HAUNT you.

Why should they know such DEPRAVITIES exist?❜ Words dragged & seeped through the air while undead digits toyed the lace at the end of his cuffs as if, if he TRIED & TOUCHED them enough, then maybe, just maybe, he'd be able to FEEL them again. ❛There is nothing to be gained by knowing WHAT WE ARE & WHAT WE DO. What purpose does it serve to alert them? Invoke a FEAR & cause RETALIATION? You cannot be THAT altruistic.❜

She refrained from speaking about it any further, and with a mere tip up of her shoulder, she engaged him once again with a laugh. ‘ —-as delightful as it is, i do not believe it is chance ; fate is too fleeting, it makes it sound less delightful. But I agree, you strike up a sense of elation ’ too soon the city bells tolled, alerting the arrival of a NEW HOUR, the sky overhead, damask with clouds.
All the things of which he thought NO LONGER HAD PLACE IN HIS LIFE came flooding back. & Louis found himself at a CROSSROAD again. The path in which one takes is to be FOLLOWED THROUGH for what is left behind them is just that, LEFT BEHIND. But, no matter which side of the fork he took, their paths seemed to INTERSECT one another again. Alice had only fallen need to fall down the rabbit hole ONCE to realize she was in WONDERLAND; the only way out is to go through. ❛The night is VACANT & still ours. If I may humbly ask, would you KEEP ME COMPANY? I do not feel the need to TRAVERSE the streets alone, this night.❜

❛INTERESTING USE OF WORDS; swearing to an ENTITY that can neither CONFIRM NOR DENY that which is stated. I do wonder, if such a being were to EXIST, would they actually stand by such a thing? Or would they argue that what one justifies as SELF DEFENSE can still be classified as MURDER? What do you think, MR. WATSON?❜

An address that will become quite FAMILIAR with the coming time. How much has changed; he WATCHED it changed over the years he has been made to TRAVERSE this Hell & every new implementation & every new omit has shaped this world to be what it is now. It will NEVER be the same as what he remembered it to be; remembering too much made one REMINISCENT of the past—a past that was no longer a JOY to remember. Now do not MISINTERPRET, Louis had better manners than this & found that using particular PERKS to get things done the way he wanted them to get done was sometimes a bit OVERDONE. Then again, this gentleman was not the other SET OF EARS he had spoken to. In fact, this set of ears seems to lack COMMON COURTESY.
A simple NO in the form of reply would’ve sufficed (his own initial message of ‘would you like to help me? there is something in it for you if you do’ didn’t really help much) & would’ve possibly SHOOED him off–& yet, here he was, in a chair, molded in the darkness of the vacant flat. ANY MINUTE NOW he was to walk through the door & ANY MINUTE NOW the questions of how did you get in here cleverly disguised with some PRECARIOUS REMARK as eyes & brain would surely try to NITPICK at him. Yes–how many LIVES & LIES could the famous SHERLOCK HOLMES pull from just looking at Louis? & out of all of them which one would he BELIEVE?
