on the subject of hearts

pairing ~ sherlock holmes x f!reader

summary ~ sherlock has a good head on his shoulders, he’s straightforward, critical, and almost painfully logical, so why have you had his mind swimming with thoughts that are anything but?

word count ~ 4.4k

warnings ~ fluff!! a bit of possessive sherlock behavior, jealousy, mycroft being annoying, mention of catcalling, old fashioned views of women in general, westminster slander (apologies!), sherlock is an emotional himbo, mention of stabbing, mention of a height difference, italicized ‘oh’, minor angst with the happiest ending!

a/n ~ alright i know i pretty much only write for marvel (+ one obi wan drabble) but i watched enola holmes and it’s safe to say i’m yearning. this one is very much for @uncle-kenobi and very much based off of our ramblings about this man, you are a wonderful human and mwauh, so i hope you enjoy this!! you deserve all the Broad Man™️ hugs and also the entire earth and i love you mwauh!! also side-note, another loki peice is almost almost finished! i just had all these very inspirational thoughts (thank you again may mwauh) and wrote this, so without further ado, i hope you all enjoy!!

Sherlock let out a soft, contemplative hum as he watched you from his armchair, slowly raising his eyes above the paper he had been reading before you so hastily scuttered into the library.

You sighed contently to yourself, almost dreamily as you carefully opened the golden-spined book he had so often seen you pull time and time again from the shelf, only to carefully place the small flower between the pages. You hadn’t been reading it recently, what was the need for a bookmark?

Sublime Dexterity II // BBC Sherlock

Summary: It’s been weeks since the night Sherlock Holmes gave you your first impromptu violin lesson, and you haven’t stopped thinking about those hands since. Now, you’re fed up of waiting for him to walk through that door again, so you decide it’s time to pay your virtuoso a visit. (Sherlock x Reader)

Word Count: 6.5K

Warnings: Smut, mild bad language, masturbation (self, giving & receiving), oral sex (giving & receiving), unprotected sex, size kink(?), bottoming out, praise, overstimulation, readers must be 18+

A/N: I received so many requests for a part two of this fic that I just can’t accredit it to one specific request. So instead I’ve accumulated all the suggestions/asks I received and put them all into this piece in some way or another. I also incorporated another request I received for a smut piece where Sherlock was especially ‘well-endowed’. So to the anon that requested that one, this piece is for you too! Secondly, I just want to say I’m so unbelievably thankful for the amount of love and positive feedback part one of Sublime Dexterity received. I honestly appreciate every single like, reblog and reply so much. It truly keeps me going and makes me so excited to share more writing with you all. So thank you, and I hope you like part two just as much.

Three hundred and thirty six hours. That’s how long it had been.

You worked it out on a calculator as you sat behind the counter at work, chin on fist, struggling to think of anything else besides the looming closing time; wondering - as you had done every day for the past two weeks - if today would be the day Sherlock Holmes walked back through that door.

At first, the aloofness of his quick exit had intrigued you, excited you; the way he left you standing there without so much as a goodbye, nothing except the memory of his touch between your soaking thighs. But now, you were just plain annoyed, so frustrated that you couldn’t even concentrate as you served your last customer of the day.

“Is there a returns policy on these?” he asked.

“What?” you replied, your eyes flitting over his shoulder to the door every few moments.

“Like, can I try them out in my clarinet and if I don’t like them I can bring them back?”

You stared at him blankly for a moment. “It’s a pack of reeds…”

“Yeah, and?”

“And you have to wet them in order to try them… with your mouth…”

“So?”

“So no, obviously you can’t return something that you’ve soaked in your own saliva.”

Your tone was a little more harsh than you’d meant it to be, but the absence of your tall, dark stranger for yet another evening had stolen every ounce of patience you had left.

You rang the customer up and waved goodbye as he trudged out the shop, packet of reeds in hand. The bell above the door rang on his way out, making you sigh in disappointment; another day, another entirely underwhelming conclusion.

You locked up and tidied around before making your way into the stock room, shutting the door behind you and leaning back against the shelves with a long, frustrated exhale. Had he really walked out that night and not given you another thought since? Simply seized the moment to show what his hands were capable of; got off on the fact that he could please you in a way no other man had ever done?

Or had this been his plan all along? To give you a taste of him, just enough to make you crave more. To leave the memory of his touch on your skin, like a bruise that wouldn’t fade.

Anonymous asked:

(inspired by your latest reblog of loving sherlock’s hands…) could you write something where reader loves his hands and so he uses them to please her ? thank you!

Sublime Dexterity // BBC Sherlock

Summary: Sherlock notices you've been fixated on his hands, so he decides to show you exactly what they're capable of. (Sherlock x Reader)

Word Count: 3k

Warnings: Smut, digital penetration, squirting, mild bad language, readers must be 18+

You'd been waiting all day for this moment; the ding of the bell above the door, the sight of your last customer walking out into the dimming London evening. You inhaled a deep, clarifying breath and exhaled through puckered lips, relieved to finally be alone, to once again be able to hear your own thoughts.

But the silence was tainted by a noise; an irritating, electronic melody playing on one of the keyboards at the back of the shop. You sighed as you stepped out from behind the counter and made your way over to them, stopping on your way to straighten out a drum kit and return a box of guitar strings back to its hook.

You stood in front of the wall of keyboards with your hands on your hips, trying to figure out which one the noise was coming from. Your eyes trailed up to the top row and you groaned as you saw the blinking light on the highest one, cursing the group of teenagers who had no doubt done it on purpose before they left. You huffed, rising to your tip toes and reaching to switch it off, your skirt riding up until it was barely skimming the tops of your thighs.

You barely ever wore skirts to work, especially not ones as short as this. It had been a spur of the moment decision as you got ready that morning; the voice on your meditation app telling you to 'do something out of your comfort zone today' as you stood in front of your open wardrobe. But you'd regretted taking the advice since the moment you got to work; having to hold it down by the hem every time you reached up to organise a shelf or leaned over a customer to demonstrate an instrument.

Now the shop was empty, and you could finally move freely without the fear of someone catching a glimpse of your underwear. So you stretched your arms as high as they could go, flicking the switch on the keyboard to turn it off, the silence that followed like a deep, calming breath.

But a familiar sound broke through the quiet; the ding of a bell and creak of a door that made you sigh and roll your eyes.

"Sorry!" you called out as you hurried around the corner. "Sorry, I was just about to close..." Your voice trailed off meekly when you laid eyes on the man standing near the entrance.

Train of Thoughts

Pairing: Sherlock Holmes x Reader

Summary: When there are no cabs available you and Sherlock take the underground train home.

Word Count: 800

Warnings: there's descriptions of tightly packed crowds so maybe don't read if you suffer badly with claustrophobia <3

a/n: Apparently if I go more than a few weeks without writing for Sherlock my brain goes on strike so here we are.

The train was as busy as you would expect it to be in the heart of London; crowded with people from all walks of life rushing home in time for dinner and their evening soap opera.

You and Sherlock had managed to claw out a small section of space in the centre of the carriage. You stood by his side, having given up your own seat to a lady who'd been struggling to placate her young child.

The train was so cramped your arms brushed as you both held tightly to the rail above your heads.

  • mini update: mid-terms are back again this week and next for me, so as usual when under stress i've only managed to write about some comfort characters, so for the next week I've got a few HC lists lined up, but then I promise I'll have some requests out!

PAIRING: Sirius Black x Reader

You ran, trying to catch up with the raven-haired boy. He was fast.

“Sirius! Sirius, wait up!” you shouted apologizing to people you hit on the way. Catching him finally, you placed a hand over his back, making him turn towards you in a huff.

“What. Do. You. Want?” he hissed as you gulped.

“I just wanted to talk to you. I thought t-“

“I don’t care what you thought. I don’t ever want to talk to you, why don’t you get it?” He barked as you felt you felt something in your stomach squeeze.

“Do we have any other choice, then?” you whispered as you saw something change in his eyes. “I thought you, of all people, would understand seeing we are going through the same thing.”

Sirius let out a dry laugh which only served your stomach to twist further.

Sirius Black x reader (fem!reader)

Summary: You need Sirius to get you out of a stressful situation, Sirius needs you to get him out of his own stressful situation. It’s just a mutually beneficial arrangement, right?

a/n: Some fake dating with Sirius! I wrote this before I even started this tumblr, back in May or June? I’m still not fully back, I just finished editing this and decided to post it to hold over until I figure myself out. Thank you for your kind words, it’s meant a lot to me ♥

Word count: 6k

Warnings: creepy men, alcohol consumption, allusions to sex

*

You knew better than to be in Hogsmeade this late in the evening. Every survival instinct inside of you screamed out trying to convince you that you should leave with your friends. Still, you ignored every shout and stayed seated in your booth staring blankly ahead. It didn’t help that you were stubborn and having the worst week of your life, two ingredients that would surely create disaster when mixed. So here you sat in the Three Broomsticks, nursing a fire whiskey you had convinced the man behind the bar to slip you. Few students remained, it was mostly suspicious adults filtering through. Eyes bore into you as you huddled in the corner, trying to forget the events of the past week.

It began as any other did, the typical classes and studying and time with your boyfriend sprinkled in between. Failing an important test started the downfall, ending with your boyfriend — on the whim of his quidditch win — kissing another girl in front of the school. Not the best moment, you thought, taking another swing. The burn numbed the pain as you looked around the room again. Only one student remained now, a piece of parchment in his hands and a glass of firewhiskey in front of him. It was Sirius Black and you recognized a similar expression of frustration on his face. Focusing so hard on him, you didn’t feel the man slip into the booth beside you.

oh my lonely heart, ii

sirius black x hufflepuff!reader

summary; a few months after coming to terms with your feelings for sirius, rumours swirl that he’s in love with you; but his actions prove otherwise. until one day, they don’t.

requested; no[/] yes[]

warnings; angst (eventual fluff), non canon character death

part one part two part three (coming soon)

You hated it. You tried to hate Sirius, but you couldn’t bring yourself to. You tried to hate Anna, but she hadn’t even done anything wrong.

Two months had passed since that morning by the lake. You thought you’d dealt with it pretty well. You’d even become friends with Anna, finding her company a breath of fresh air; though her and Sirius no longer being involved did help a great deal.

You’d started doing better in studies, and even Slughorn was impressed, inviting you to dinners reserved for his best students. It was there that you properly spoke to Lily Evans for the first time, and the two of you became fast friends. Yourself and Anna even snuck into her Gryffindor dorm for a sleepover, and though Lily panicked, the three of you had a wonderful time.

You still kept up with the Marauders, them being your closest friends still. Contributing prank ideas was something you did more often now, and you couldn’t help your laughter when the four boys got a wicked gleam in their eyes when you suggested pranking Mulciber.

Despite all this, you’d lost your sparkle. Your eyes didn’t gleam like they used to, you’d lost some weight and the bruised bags under your eyes were more prominent than before.

Love was painful, poisonous even. But unrequited love was something different, a poison made to destroy the essence of whoever was unlucky enough to experience it. And unfortunately, you were her latest victim.

Sirius had started with another girl, a Gryffindor this time. You noticed that it was only ever Gryffindors or Ravenclaws, sometimes Slytherin, never Hufflepuff. Brushing it off, you turned back to your History of Magic assignment.

Laughter rang out in the classroom, and you turned your head slightly. From the corner of your eye, you could see Sirius and the girl, flirting away like there was no tomorrow. You blinked, turning back to your parchment.

“Y/N,” came Lily’s soft voice from next to you. You shook your head, turning to the redhead with a smile.

“Lily,” you replied, mocking her tone. She rolled her eyes gently as you smirked.

“Y/N. He does like you.”

Whatever it was you were expecting, it wasn’t that. It was so far from what you were actually thinking, that you couldn’t help yourself. A laugh erupted from your chest, and you clapped a hand over your mouth to stifle the guffaw that threatened to escape. Your peers shot you glances, but your professor seemed unbothered.

“Oh, Lily darling. Please, don’t entertain my poor yearning heart,” you sang. As hurt as you were, you couldn’t help but joke about it; a new strategy that you found was much more effective than dealing with your feelings outright.

She shook her head. “No, I’m being genuine. I was talking to James, and...”

She trailed off when you shot her a surprised look. “You and Potter?” You asked incredulously, much to the chagrin of a Hufflepuff behind you, who shot you a scowl. You winked as an apology, and she groaned, going back to her assignment.

“That’s besides the point! As I was saying-”

“You and Potter? James Potter? As in James who’s been pining since first year Potter?”

“Well I was talking to him and...”

“I can’t believe this. Maybe I should try this. Do you think Sirius will...”

“Merlin, Y/N!” Lily hissed, making you jump a little. The small chatter of the class subsided and Lily flushed red.

“Miss Evans?” your teacher asked from the front. As Lily scrambled for an excuse, you came to her rescue.

“Sorry, Professor. I accidentally spilled some ink on Lily’s parchment. It was my mistake,” you announced. He only nodded, waving a hand dismissively, and the class resumed their conversations. You, however, felt a pair of eyes on you, and turned around to meet dark brown.

He tried to smile at you, and you managed a weak grin, before turning back around to Lily, your heart pounding.

“Thank you,” Lily mumbled and you just nodded, gulping.

James said Sirius couldn’t stop talking about you in his sleep,” she continued, and tears pricked at your eyes. It had to be a joke. James teased you often, and though Lily would never dare to joke about this, James would. She probably thought it was true, bless her.

You met her bright green eyes, smiling softly. “Please, Lils. I cant,” your voice broke and she gripped your hand tightly.

You hated feeling like this. So vulnerable, so weak. Even the thought of him made your heart ache. Merlin, why did love hurt this much?

Lily didn’t speak about it again, and your routines resumed to normal. Often, you’d watch Sirius at the Gryffindor table. How he had eyes for so many girls. All beautiful, all special, and you couldn’t even dislike them if you tried. They were flawless.

He’d never looked at you like that. Hell, you bet he’d never even thought of you like that. He’d walk into the room, shout across the classroom to get their attention, flirt obnoxiously, blow kisses and kiss.

It was nearing spring when Anna decided to take matters into her own hands.

“You need a date,” she sang one spring day, bees buzzing lazily nearby. You, Anna, Lily and Marlene were sitting on the grass. You weren’t as close with Marlene, but since she was Lily’s friend, you decided you liked her.

You groaned. “No, Anna. Let my poor heart yearn till I am bled dry,” you cried dramatically, flinging yourself into Lily’s arms as Marlene chuckled.

Anna scoffed. “What, over Sirius Black? Please.”

Anna had already suspected your feelings for Sirius by the time you were friends, and though you apologised, she said she didn’t really care. After all, she dumped Sirius for a reason; he fancied someone else.

Marlene gasped. “Sirius? But he’s head over heels in love with you!”

You froze in Lily’s lap, and everyone went silent, wondering what you’d do next.

You laughed, uncontrollably. “Funny joke, McKinnon,” you cried, wiping tears from your eyes. The other three stared at you, bewildered.

“I’m being serious, Y/N!”

You ignored her, turning to Anna. “Say, who’ve you got in mind for that date?”

About an hour and a half later, you’d agreed to go to Hogsmeade on Saturday with one of Anna’s Hufflepuff friends. He was a nice boy, older than you, something Diggory...Adam? Adrian?

“Amos Diggory?” came Sirius’ thundering voice, piercing the silence in the library. You whipped your head around, Madam Pince glaring daggers at the sudden intrusion. You shushed him, and he took a seat down opposite you, running a hand through his hair.

Amos Diggory? Really, Y/N?” He asked, his chest rising and falling with the rapid breaths he was taking. You started packing your things, hyper aware of the fact that everyone was listening to the two of you.

“Yes, Sirius. I have a date. Is that such a problem?”

He floundered over his words as you rose from your seat, beckoning him to follow. And follow he did, like a lost puppy, trailing behind you helplessly.

“Why? Why him?” He groaned, once the two of you were out of the library. You turned to face him.

“Sirius, it isn’t that big of a deal. Amos is nice, we’re both Hufflepuffs. Besides, it’s only a date,” You reassured him, unsure of why he was so bothered. Marlene’s words flashed through your head, but you were quick to dismiss him.

“But...But he’s older!”

You raised a brow. “Being a year older has hardly stopped you, Sirius.”

He ran a hand through his hair again. “He..He’s rubbish at Charms!”

“First of all, he isn’t, and second, why would that even be a problem? I’m going on a date, Sirius, not to a class.”

You turned to walk away, but he grabbed your wrist, pulling you to his chest. Your heart pounded again, and you cursed the fact that you couldn’t keep it together. You were so close, so close to him. The smell of cherries, wood, fresh earth, whatever it was that he smelled like...it was intoxicating.

“What if I don’t want you to go?” he murmured, gazing into your eyes. You gulped.

“You should probably bring that up with that Gryffindor girl,” you smiled sadly, patting his cheek.

He shook his head. “Are you that oblivious?”

You blinked, unsure of what he meant. He sighed, taking both of your hands in his.

“Don’t you see? It was all about you. I’m always smoother with my tactics,” he joked, and you rolled your eyes.

“Don’t bother, Sirius. Funny joke. Did James tell you? Or Remus?”

You wrenched yourself free of his grasp, and started walking away, blinking rapidly. You hoped the tears wouldn’t fall now. That would be embarrassing.

I’m in love with you!

You spun around in shock. He crossed the hallway in a few strides, placing his hands on your shoulders.

“No you’re not,” you mumbled in disbelief, and he squeezed his eyes shut.

“Alright. You think I’m not? Your favourite book is the Picture of Dorian Gray. You like taking walks in the early morning. You love reading. Your eyes sparkle when you talk about books. You’ve got a kind heart, but you won’t show it. And for some strange, strange, reason, you wear two different socks. Actually no, that’s because your grandmother told you it’s good luck.”

You giggled slightly, a small tear escaping your eye by accident. Sirius brushed it away with his thumb, smiling gently. “Do you believe me now?”

You pretended to think. “Not quite sure, Black. Might have to prove it further.”

You leaned in, and so did he. You were so close, your lips nearly met...

“Wait. Did you say you loved me?”

Sirius chuckled. “Yes,” he admitted, leaning back in.

“Like proper love loved me? Or, do you just love me?”

He stared at you for a moment, blinking. “Like...love love you.”

You furrowed your brow as he leaned in again.

“For how long?”

“Merlin, Y/N! Will you shut up and let me kiss you!”

Your lips met, and you felt like you could finally breathe. Every doubt, every ache in your heart vanished, and you finally found the air to breathe as you kissed him, the two of you moving in sync. Your hands found their way to his hair, his beautiful dark hair, and his hands cupped your face, so gently, so lovingly. You thought you might explode. And when you parted, you pressed your foreheads against each other, smiling gently, as lovers do.

“Reckon Amos might be a little upset?” You asked, biting your lips. Sirius waved a hand.

“I’ll take care of it. Can I kiss you again?”

You gazed at him, admiring every inch of his beautiful face. His dark, earth brown eyes, his coal black hair, his perfect skin, him. And you realised, that if this was love, if this was what you ended up with, it was worth it. And, if loving him was a sin, then you were the greatest sinner of them all.

So, it was that spring evening, when your lips met his, when your hands intertwined with his, that you admitted to yourself;

I love Sirius Black.

oh my lonely heart

sirius black x hufflepuff!reader

summary; you’re in love with Sirius Black, the biggest flirt Hogwarts has ever seen. Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to feel the same way.

requested; no [/] yes []

warnings; slight angst

part one part two part three (coming soon)

Sirius Black.

The name brought both butterflies to your stomach, and an ache to your heart. You’d liked Sirius since your third year, after he’d slipped you the correct answers to Slughorn’s quiz. Granted, he did steal the paper but you still found it a sweet gesture.

After that, you and Sirius became close friends. It wasn’t uncommon for the Hogwarts students to see blurs of red and yellow racing through the halls from time to time. You even became friends with the Marauders, often giving them new ideas for a prank, or in James’ case, how to woo Lily Evans. You and Remus often discussed books, both being avid readers, much to the dismay of the others. You even got along with Peter, often trading sweets and jokes.

After spending so much time with Sirius, it was no surprise that you ended up developing feelings for him. The charming boy with dark hair and sparkling eyes, the proud yet kind young man that he’d grown into by sixth year. At first you thought it was a simple crush that would go away; after all, half the school adored Sirius Black. And yet, you found yourself helping him in Charms, slipping him an extra quill when he forgot his, studying in the library with him and getting lost in his eyes. Your friends teased you about it, but you denied everything. Until you didn’t.

Until fifth year, until you saw him with a Ravenclaw girl, until he brushed her hair behind her ear and you felt your stomach tighten in jealousy. You hadn’t expected it to hurt as much as it did; Sirius was a natural flirt. So why did it hurt?

It was the other Marauders who helped you come to the conclusion.

“You’re in love with Sirius,” mused James one day, when the four of you were sitting in the library, without the man in question.

You spluttered, dropping your quill on your parchment as ink splattered over your Potions essay.

“No I’m not! Merlin, why does everyone think that?” You denied, ignoring the burning on your cheeks and Peter’s wide grin.

Remus sighed, closing his book neatly. “Y/N, have you noticed how much you know about Sirius?”

“I don’t know that much about him! I know him as much as you!”

“Alright,” James said, turning to Peter with a smirk. “Why isn’t Sirius here, Wormtail?”

Peter pretended to think for a moment. “Can’t decide, Prongs. Does he have a date at Hogsmeade?”

You glared at Peter. “He has a detention with McGonagall, if you must know.”

The three boys laughed in triumph and you groaned, burying your face in your hands. “Merlin, I really am in love with him, aren’t I?”

“You look at him the same way James looks at Lily ,” Peter quipped.

“Who looks at who? What am I missing?”

Speak of the devil. There was Sirius Black, in all his glory, a cheeky smirk painting his beautiful face, his black hair wet from the rain outside. You felt your breath catch in your throat as your gaze traced a lone rain droplet, that made its way down his brow and then his jaw, tracing over his neck-

“…Y/N!” James shoved you, snapping you out of your daze. Your mouth went dry and you kept your head down.

Remus sighed. “Y/N is in love with someone.”

You widened your eyes in horror, your fist connecting with the lanky boy’s shoulder. “Remus!”

“It’s not like he wouldn’t have found out!”

“Who is it?” Sirius asked, a smirk playing on his lips. The other boys kept quiet, and you bit your lip, your stomach twisting.

“Well?” The boy asked again, raising his brow. Still, no one said a word. He looked to James.

“S’not really my secret to tell, sorry Padfoot.”

Then he cast his gaze on Peter, who panicked, eyes widening. “Y’know, I have to go ask Madame Pince about this…Herbology book…” He trailed off, scuffling towards the scowling librarian.

Sirius looked at Remus next, and the brown haired boy simply shook his head, his own eyes returning to his textbook.

That left you. The Gryffindor sat so close to you that you were sure he would hear your heart pounding. You wiped your palms on your robes, and cleared your throat, willing yourself to speak.

“Y/N?” He murmured softly. You didn’t look at him, instead at your lap.

“I…They weren’t even supposed to find out, Sirius. It was an accident. Please understand.”

He frowned, resting his cheek on his hand. “Alright. If you say so.”

Something told you he was bound to find out anyway.

The five of you spent the rest of the evening in the library, rain pattering on the window. Everyone worked in relative silence, which you were surprised by; especially Sirius, who kept his eyes trained on his Potions essay.

The only time the silence broke was when he turned to you. “Why don’t you just tell them?”

Three other pairs of eyes were now trained on you. You gulped, meeting Sirius’ quizzical expression.

“I don’t think he feels the same way,” you admitted quietly, still staring at the dark haired boy in front of you. He scoffed.

“I doubt it, Y/N. Any one would be lucky to have you. And even if he doesn’t, it’s his loss.”

He grinned as a small smile spread to your face, and you both went back to your work. You ignored Remus’ burning stare.

When you went to your dorm that night, you fell asleep with a smile on your face and a warmth in your chest.

-

The next morning, you woke up, bright and ready for the day. The birds were still chirping and the sky was a grey-blue, a light fog misting the grounds of Hogwarts.

You sighed in content. Throwing on your Hufflepuff robes, you grabbed your favourite book. It was a battered, old, muggle classic, and the title had somewhat rubbed off, though you could faintly make out the name ‘Dorian Gray’. You’d thumbed through the copy many times before, and you decided this morning would be no exception.

Your favourite reading spot was under a willow tree, tucked away near the Black Lake. A precious handful of people knew where it was, and though it was public ground, you liked to think of it as your own reserved spot.

The crisp autumn air enveloped you as soon as you stepped out of the castle, and you pulled your scarf a little tighter around your neck. It must have been nearly five thirty in the morning. You never usually woke up this early, but considering you’d had a decent sleep last night, you weren’t complaining. A small groan pierced the silence, and you sighed, wishing you’d been smart enough to brought some food with you. Oh well. It was too late to turn back now.

You opened the book on the first chapter as you walked, your eyes scanning over the preface. You’d always thought it was one of the most beautiful parts of this book, despite not being part of the book itself. Losing yourself in literature, you walked absentmindedly to the path your feet had memorised.

A small giggle broke you out of your trance and you quietly snapped your book shut, coming to a halt. Another giggle sounded out, and then a deeper voice.

“I really shouldn’t be doing this.”

Sirius. Your heart thudded as you came to the screeching realisation.

Sirius Black. With a girl. At your spot. The spot you’d shown him.

You stood there for a few minutes, debating what to do. It wasn’t until you heard them walking back, two pairs of feet crunching over the crisp autumn leaves, that you opened your book and pretended to be oblivious.

“Y/N?” Came the voice of the man, your man…not your man, you decided.

You faked surprised, looking up from your book, though your eyes pricked with tears and your throat hurt. “Oh! Sirius, fancy seeing you up so early.”

You nodded in greeting at the girl, who smiled back, though you noticed it was more reserved. She was a Ravenclaw, you thought, someone who you’d seen around school, but never really spoken to much.

“Oh, yeah. Thought I’d show Anna the lake in the morning.”

Anna. So this was the name of his latest liaison.

You grinned, swallowing back your anger and hurt. “Of course! Don’t mind me. Just thought I’d catch up on some reading.”

You held the book up, and Anna smiled. “I love that book!”

The two of you exchanged a brief conversation about literature, before Sirius cleared his throat.

“I should…We should get going, Anna,” he said, smiling. But you noticed that his smile seemed more forced, and though Anna took his hand, she gritted her teeth. You exchanged goodbyes, not quite missing the flash in Sirius’ eyes.

As soon as they were out of sight you hurried to your tree, throwing your book and yourself on the floor. You stifled your sobs, and hugged your knees as you let out every emotion you felt; anger, hurt, confusion, and most importantly, love.

The Picture of Dorian Gray lay forgotten at your side as tears streamed down your face, and you stared at the book, at it’s yellowing pages and faded colour. You turned your eyes to the lake in front of you, its dark waters rippling in a gentle morning breeze. The trees ahead rustled lightly, and it was that autumn morning that you vowed, I will get over Sirius Black.

a/n I LOVE THIS sorry it took so long

———

“jesus christ, sirius, i told you, i’m not gunna do it,” remus grumbled, setting his book down with a bit more of an attitude than his friend would’ve liked.

“c’mon rem,” the black haired boy groaned, collapsing down at the feet of his bean stalked friend. “don’t you love me? don’t you want me happy?”

remus sighed and rubbed his forehead, refusing to look down at the pathetic scene sirius was creating, “i’m not pimping out one of my friends for you pads. i wouldn’t even do that to my worst enemy.”

“well i think severus secretly wants me.”

rolling his eyes, remus stood up and started to make his way up to his dorm room as sirius continued, eventually yelling as his friend disappeared up the staircase, “come on mooney! it’s not a hookup thing! i just-“

“how’s it going down there, romeo?” lily evans snickered as she towered over him, arm folded across her chest.

this was perfect.

sirius shot up from the ground, taking ahold of lily lightly and started walking them out of the common room, “lily-flower, doll, the apple of my eye- have i told you how beautiful you look today?”

all the red head replied with was a raised eyebrow and a suspicious look, causing sirius just to blubber more as he guided her through the hallways, “you are the most gentle person i know, you know? and kind, and sweet, and-“

abruptly, she pulled away from him and looked him up and down, “cut the bullshit black, what do you want.”

“your words are like poetry, evans, really.”

lily scoffed and crossed her arms, glaring at him, “you may not realize it, but the world doesn’t revolve around you, i have a life.”

rushing back to her, the boy held her shoulders and stared directly into her eyes, trying to find dominance and humility in the situation, “you know that hufflepuff girl in your potions study group? the one with the y/h/c hair and always has different nail polish on every day?”

leaning back on her heels, lily looked at sirius sideways. his face was softened, hair tied back for once. eyes were genuine and darkened. “you mean y/n?”

“yes!” light filling his eyes, sirius jumped slightly in his step.

giving him another look, the girl began to laugh, shaking the boy’s hands off and leaving him to watch in embarrassment, “okay you don’t have to laugh- you are so rude you know that?- i just wanted to know what she thinks of me, okay?”

“oh sweetie,” lily clutched at her sides, green eyes neon in the sun, “you’ve got it baaaad.” fixing her hair, she waited until two third years walked past them and messed with her nail, “she thinks you’re cute, but that you’re a player, so she’s correct in thinking.”

sirius felt his chest collapse. yeah she thought he was cute, but he was. a player, though? she wasn’t wrong, but sirius’ intentions were never that of. yes, he would hook up with people, and yeah some breakups were messy, but he wasn’t just sleeping around and breaking hearts. he never denied that, but he was always genuine with girls, vulnerable under the “heart-breaker” title.

stuffing his hands into his pockets, the boy looked down, “i really like her. i don’t know why, but i really do.” taking a breath, sirius watched a piece of hair slide to the front of his face, a familiar sight. “she’s just so nice, you know? and really really charming and i just- ugh- want to hold her hand or something.” his voice got smaller and smaller towards the end of the sentences and lily’s heart ached for him.

lily sighed and rubbed her face, a hand landing on his slouched shoulder, “i can, um, talk to her, if you want. i kinda owe you anyways for helping me and james, or whatever.”

looking up from his self pity, lily’s eyes were warm and reassuring, and he pulled her into a surprised hug. laughing, she hugged back, patting him and whispering, “but you should talk to her, she spends a lot of time in the green house.”

“okay,” sirius pulled back, smiling back at lily, “okay! thank you!”

the boy began to run down the hall, eyes following him throughout the school. hands settling on her hips, the red head sighed as he left her view, “he’s going to fuck it up.”

———

the green house was always god-awfully hot. the air was always thick, steamy and gross, like a swamp. an aura of green was etched around everything in the room, and it was perfect for y/n. she hated to admit it, but she was a typical hufflepuff. gardening, herbology, kindness, finding things. the mom friend.

except she wasn’t a snitch. and she prided herself on that.

gardening, though, struck something in her soul. it was her thing, she loved it. and the teachers didn’t mind. she kept the green house alive, helped with the natural wildlife growing around campus, and in return she got some special privileges. like being able to stay out later than most people.

in the corner of the room sat a little muggle music player, the rhythm cutting through the hot air. it was a beatles record, one she smuggled in from her aunts house, and her hips swayed softly to the song as she worked on repotting some new bulbs.

hums deep from her throat matched with the song and she found her voice with the turn of the chorus, singing lightly to the plants. she felt crazy, and it was wonderful.

suddenly, with a fast and loud creak of the door, an out of breath sirius black entered, holding the glass door open as he took in deep breaths. staring at him with a puzzled look, y/n just held the repotted bulb in her hand and waiting for an explanation.

the boy, on the other hand, took a minute to recoup, and looked up to the girl, immediately straightening up, hiding the huffs under a cough, “um, hi!”

y/n smiled cautiously, nodding slightly, “hi.” setting the plant down, she refused to look away from the boy, who grew red pinned under her eye, “what are you doing here sirius?”

“um,” fully getting into the green house, sirius shut the door and yelled internally for himself to say something, anything. fixing his hair and looking at this girl, he smiled, “i need a plant.”

“a plant?” her voice dropped with skepticism. fuck. “which plant?”

inside, sirius was falling apart. it was more than the fact he had no reason to be there or talk to her but because how she was. her hair was half-hazardously put up, cascading among itself. an apron, embroidered with flowers and vines, clung to her figure. she wore green gardening gloves, and as she made herself around the work able, she slipped them off, exposing her small calloused hand. her nails were a dark blue today.

“sirius? are you okay?” she leaned against the work table, directly in front of the boy, who shook himself from his embarrassing moment.

“uh, yeah i need uh,” the boy searched the room, begging for him mind to come up with anything. “...basil.”

“basil?” her eyebrow rose and she giggled slightly. fuck. “basil? for what?”

he had to hide himself. this was too much. rubbing his face, he groaned, “um, for cooking.”

sirius heard her move around. looking from his own hands, he watched her continue to laugh softly, grabbing some scissors from the table and approach him hesitantly. she landed right next to him, he could feel her body even through the humidity, standing on her toes to reach a hanging planter that hung next to his face. y/n began to cut some leaves of the plant, and looked at him, “i didn’t know you cooked.”

god, even her perfume was perfect.

“yeah well, i do for special occasions,” he felt his face heat up again, refusing to look at the girl who was closer to him than he could ever imagine. he couldn’t look at her and her perfect face, at her eyelashes that hit her eyelids with every blink, at her long neck, scattered with freckles. fuck fuck fuck. he took to staring at his boots, that aesthetically looked nice next to her mary janes.

“sirius?” he felt her hand gently grab his, turning it over and placing a bundle of leaves in the center. her hands were soft, and her face was awfully close to his.

his eyes flickered around her face, scoping it like an astronomer to the night, following the trail of freckles and a really cute birth mark faded across her nose. he hummed in response, too intoxated to find words.

“i asked you what you were cooking.”

in the corner, the music stopped, and it was the first time sirius realized there was music playing. y/n broke away from the moment, looking to the music player and sighing.

she walked away towards the corner, allowing sirius to breathe again. the aroma of the basil found its way to him, familiar from his childhood, and he watched her flip the record. confidence found its place again inside him, and he shuffled a bit towards her, “pesto.”

“pesto?” she hummed, some delight licking at the word, as she fixed the sound to be less loud. trying to face him, y/n had no reaction to him moving closer to her, “big italian guy, huh?”

sirius marked him his mind that the height difference between them were perfect, “my aunt married an italian, we used to visit when i was younger.”

“my mum’s italian,” the girl smiled, burning a hole in his heart, and moved to the table next to him, picking up from where she left off. “now, are you going to tell why you’re actually here, or are we going to pretend you ran down here for some basil?”

she kept her gaze on the plants, a smirk growing across her face as sirius felt panic rise within himself again. leaning a hand on the table, he watched her eyes flicker to it, and sighed.

“i’m not a player, okay?”

looking up to him, the girl sat her things down again and softened under the embarrassment, “who told you i think that?

“lily.”

rolling her eyes, y/n turned to face him, “she’s got a mouth.”

“yeah,” the words floated from his mouth and got lost in the air, guilt panging in her heart. the room was too hot, and sirius was refusing to look at her. does he like me?

“do you remember in fourth year, the halloween party? i was little red riding hood, and we didn’t even coordinate but you were a wolf.” getting right to him, y/n kept her eyes on him, and he gradually reconnected the eye contact, jaw still locked. “and it was so funny to us that we took a picture of it, and we danced and won best couples costume.”

her gaze broke off, falling to the ground. sirius straightened up, more hair falling in front of his face. crossing her arms around her, y/n continued, “and we spent most of the night together, eventually finding our way outside and talking. that was a good night.” a smile crept across her face, “i still have the photo hung up on my wall.”

sirius dreaded whatever words were going to come out of her mouth. he knew the timeline. he knew that night. well, flashes of it. he had a drinking problem that year.

“and then the next day i found out you and marlene mckinnon hooked up and you left her high and dry that morning.” an uncomfortable air crept through the room. “i’m sorry if i judged you, but you didn’t really give me anything else to base it off of.”

finally, her eyes found his, big and round, and sirius was speechless. goddamn. taking a breath, he kicked himself for his shakiness, “i was going through a lot then. it- it was a really bad year for me. but i’m different. i’m really different.”

a soft hand found its way to his face. her thumb ghosted over his lips, warmth clashing with the gross heat that overcame the room. “i don’t know what you want from me,” y/n’s words came out hoarse, whispered, “but i’ve had my share of heartbreak, and i don’t want to revisit it.”

encasing her hand with his, sirius leaned down a bit to her eye level, resting his forehead against hers, “i don’t either.”

Request: Hi! I was hoping you can write prompts 1, 13 & 15 with Sirius x Reader please. Love your writing!

Requested by: @ideas-nocturnas

1. “Leave, preferably before I kill you.”

13. “You left me when I needed you the most.”

15. “Fuck me…” “Don’t mind if I do.”

Paring: Sirius Black x Reader

Post Date: 5-28-19

Word Count: 1965

You rummaged through your pack, trying to find your last quill that you were so certain you threw in there last night, yet somehow you didn’t.

“Fuck me…” you groan as your head fall against your desk huffing in annoyance.

“Don’t mind if I do.” Sirius whispers from behind you, causing your face to turn into a light smile as you pivot around in your chair. You and Sirius had been in a sort of secret relationship since the beginning of this year. Sort of secret meaning you haven’t really told anyone, but if anyone found out you wouldn’t mind. Many people didn’t really like the idea of a Slytherin and Gryffindor together but you and Sirius, like some others, had seen past houses. You weren’t big on PDA, but that was only because and Sirius liked to keep your affections private. But he wouldn’t ever give up the chance to see your smile, and you see his.

“Glad to know you can be funny this early in the morning, Black.” You chuckle before pressing your back into the table behind you, grinning at the boy in front of you.

“Oh, for you, always. Are you looking for something? Perhaps a certain writing implement?” Sirius taunts, holding your missing quill in the air.

“You! how did you…? I never took it out of- “

“You left it last night at the astronomy tower. So, I thought I’d bring it for you.” he says as he chucks the quill at you hitting you softly in the head as you sheepishly mumble a thank you, eyes locking for a few extra seconds before his three best friends come along and ruin your moment. You roll your eyes, turning around and leaving them to talk about some nonsense that was lost on you as class started. Throughout the lesson, you and Sirius snuck glances at each other, some longer than others and one that lasted about 10 minutes, Sirius only looking away when Peter had caused him to.

Your day had moved on and you made your way to the dinning hall, ignoring the constant chatter around you until someone managed to break through.

“I doubt it was a one-time thing. I mean Sirius Black and I? Wouldn’t we make an amazing couple? And the sex, oh Lily let me tell you the sex!” Marlene’s soft yet booming voice echoed through your head. Sirius and her? They slept together? You always got along just fine with Marlene and Lily, but you knew she wouldn’t have had a clue about your relationship. But that didn’t matter, because Sirius did. Sirius knew you were dating and apparently, he slept with Marlene! Your throat went dry and your pace to the hall lessened until you were stopped, and you didn’t really feel like eating anymore. Instead you headed towards the Gryffindor common room, hoping to catch Sirius before he was surrounded by people. And for the first time it felt luck was actually on your side.

“Hey love, I was just on my way to see you. I was hoping maybe we could get some time, you know, alone.” He smirks, wrapping an arm around your shoulder, pulling you with him in his walk. You stop walking as you shrug his arm off you.

“If I say no are you going to find Marlene?” Sirius’ face drained of emotion as he watched you. Your lips parted open as your breathing quickened, eyes darting to the ground. You started to walk away, trying to control your emotions before you did something you’ll regret, but you didn’t get far before Sirius ran to stop you, putting his body in front of you. “Why? Why, Why, Why? Why did you cheat on me?! I thought- I thought we had something Sirius and then I overhear Marlene talking to Evans in the hallway about how good the sex between you and her was.”

“Y/N, I’m so sorr-“

“No. No! you don’t get to say you’re sorry and everything gets better! You cheated on me with that-that-that- oh she’s so perfect I can’t even insult her!” you yell, causing the boy to take a step back do to your outburst. You hadn’t noticed the tears streaming down your face until Sirius stuck his hand up to try and wipe them away, cupping your cheek in the process before you swatted it away.

“Y/N, I know you don’t want to listen to me but just let me explain. It was only one time and I was mad and you were mad and-and we were fighting and I wasn’t in the right space and McKinnon was there and one thing lead to another- I’m so so sorry.” He said, whispering the last words so you couldn’t hear his voice crack. You couldn’t think, your mouth agape, not able to form any response to his statement. The fight. You remember the fight, Sirius had wanted to go to Hogsmeade with you, but you needed to study for potions, a class you were failing, and Sirius promised he’d help you in. When you reminded him that he told you that you were being selfish, and he just wanted to get out with his girl, not worrying about classes. You both had said some things that you regretted and left the argument unresolved. Apparently, that night he decided to shag Marlene. You shut your mouth as you tried to walk away once more before his hand gripped your arm pulling it towards him as you pulled out your wand.

Leave, preferably before I kill you.” your voice trembled but you stood strong, choosing to ignore the tears streaming down your cheeks. He looked into your glossy eyes before catching sight of your wand.

“You’re not going to kill me, put down the wand Y/L/N.” Sirius sighed, releasing your arm but keeping a hand up. You heard the clatter of shoes sound throughout the corridor and you quickly wiped away any evidence you were crying, hoping whoever it was hadn’t heard the situation. Rounding the corner, you spotted the three other marauders, who obviously heard you threaten Sirius but not the prior conversation. Sirius watched your sight move past him as he saw he friends before turning back to you, taking a slight step closer.

“Don’t test me Black!” your words seethed through your teeth, hoping that he would drop it and go along with her friends. James quickly stepped up to Sirius, placing a hand on his chest to pull him back as he watched you with careful eyes.

“Come on Mate, she’s a Slytherin, just leave her.” He said causing you to chuckle and give him your attention.

“See that’s the thing Potter. Everyone makes the Slytherin out to be the bad guy. But they’re not always, aren’t they Sirius? AREN’T THEY!” you yelled locking eyes with the black-haired boy one last time. He refused to say anything as his friends gathered around you both, pushing your wand down during your screams.

“Come on Pads.” Remus whispers placing a hand on Sirius’ shoulders to pull him away. The four boys walked out of the corridor, leaving you to watch their retreating figures turn the corner before you walked the other way, heading towards the astronomy tower as tears clouded your eyes.

“You gonna explain why the snake wanted to kill you?” Peter chuckled as they sat at their table in the dinning hall. Sirius’ head shot up locking eyes with the boy before quickly answering.

“She’s not a snake.”

“Why are defending her Pads, she doesn’t deserve it.” James asked, shaking his head as he piled food onto his plate. He wasn’t watching as Sirius’ hand flew up to grab his own hair, putting his elbow to the table before falling completely unto to surface.

“Because I love her! That’s why! I fucked it all up when I cheated on her with Marlene!” Sirius mumbled, face planted down causing the others to look at him and between each other with exasperated looks.

“You and Y/N? You were dating?”

“You love her”

“You cheated on her?”

“Yes” Sirius sighed, answering all their questions as he finally pulled his head up.

“Then why’d you go and shag Marlene for?” Peter asked finally causing Sirius to stop moving. He thought about it, he thought about you, about Marlene and about how he could’ve done that to you.

“I don’t know.” He said, voice barely above a whisper, one the boys barely heard, but did.

“Oh, don’t give us that shit! You love her, yet you cheated on her? It doesn’t make any sense, does it Moony?” James yelled earning a few curious glances from neighboring kids but they all looked away when they realized it was just them.

“None at all.”

Sirius’ head was spinning, he messed up and he knew it, but he couldn’t lose you. He wouldn’t let himself. He quickly stood up, rushing out of the room towards your spot, the one you went ever you two had dates or just wanted to talk without anyone else walking in on you. When he ran up the last few steps he listened for any sound you were in there. When all he heard was silence his heart dropped, you weren’t there? He was about to head to your common room before he spotted your figure curled up and pressed into a column. Your eyes were red and puffy from crying and your robes were askew. He quietly walked over to you and sat down. Your eyes flickered to him but then immediately out to the sky once more.

“I’m sorry.” You rolled your eyes before shifting to face him. Your body inches apart but you’ve never felt farther.

“You left me… you left me when I needed you the most. I don’t mean that night. I meant in the hallway, your friends all teaming up against me while you just stood there. Watching. Then you went with them and let me there blubbering like an idiot.” You whispered, pulling your knees into your chest as your eyes locked.

“Yes, I know. I was stupid, dumb, wasn’t thinking about you o-or how you felt or anything. I was being selfish and only thought about myself and I ruined the best thing that had ever happened to me.”

“Yeah. You’re right. About everything. It was stupid, and dumb, and- did just say… I was the best thing to ever happen to you?” you asked, eyes raised as your heart quickened.

“I’m in love with you Y/N. And I know I might’ve messed everything up but losing you isn’t something I want to go through again.” He whispers as he places a hand on your cheek which for the first time that night you hadn’t pushed away, leaning into the touch. You closed your eyes as you listened to his words. “Please Y/N, give another chance to prove it to you. To prove I deserve you.”

“You already deserve me.” You cry before pressing your lips to his, molding into his lips as he pulls your body onto his. Happiness. That’s all you felt in the moment. He cheated on you, but you knew he wasn’t going to do that again. Pulling apart you decided to warn him. “I love you too, but if you cheat on me again, I will kill you this time.”

“Noted.” He said before pulling you back again causing you to chuckle against him. After that moment, Sirius made sure to let everyone know you’re his, holding your hand, forehead kisses, anything really and you realized how much you liked PDA, regretting all that time you wasted hiding your relationship in the shadows. Sirius was yours, and you were his. And you wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Warnings: fluff, mentions of alcohol/drinking, swearing, little bit of angst

Word count: 1024

The party in the Gryffindor common room had long since died out yet you seemed to be the only one in your dorm who had managed to make it back. You sat upright in bed, debating on whether or not to go and search for your friends. Realistically you knew they were probably fine, simply bunking in other places with friends or partners but you didn’t like being alone and the thumping in your head from the firewhiskey only added to your feeling of uneasiness.

Your train of thought was broken by a knock on the door, followed by a thump and a muffled “fuck.” You bolted to the other side of the room embarrassingly quickly and after flinging the door open you were greeted with a crumpled over Sirius Black, nursing the fresh bump on his knee.

“What are you doing here?”

“Y/N!” He exclaimed as he slowly pulled himself back up onto his shaky legs, “I’ve been looking for you everywhere.”

You bit back a smile at how slurred his words were, “And why is that?”

“I wanted you to come dance with me.”

“It’s three in the morning.”

“Yes.”

“I don’t think anyone’s out dancing anymore, Sirius.”

“Oh well.” He whined, “All the more space for us. Please Y/N, I’ve been waiting for you all night.”

You willed yourself not to overthink that last sentence. He’s only doing this because he’s drunk, you thought, it doesn’t mean anything. You appreciated that Sirius’ intoxicated brain had attached itself to you but in many ways, you wished it hadn’t. It didn’t help the major crush you had been harbouring on Sirius since your fourth year, his drunken antics almost seemed cruel, as if he were mocking you to then claim he remembered nothing the next morning.

“I’m in my pyjama’s.” You stated.

A small grin appeared on Sirius’ face, “Yes. You look lovely.”

“I’m not going out looking like this.” You stammered quickly, hoping his unexpected compliment hadn’t caused your cheeks to go red.

“Okay then.” He nodded before grabbing your waist and pushing you gently back into your room.

“W-what are you doing?”

Sirius’ body was now pressed flush against yours. His hands guiding yours to his shoulders before they returned to your hips and he buried his face into your hair, swaying you both softly.

“Dancing.”

At this point you were too tired to argue, the alcohol and the worrying you had been doing getting the better of you and making your eyes feel heavier, so you let him guide you gently to the muffled sounds of whatever song had been left on downstairs.

“I know, by the way.” Sirius said quietly into your ear after a few minutes.

“Know what?” Your heart began hammering against your chest. You knew exactly what he was going to say and you weren’t sure you could take much more of his teasing.

“You love me.” You could feel his grin against your shoulder.

Sirius frowned when your body tensed and pulled back from him.

“No, I don’t.” You could feel tears begin to well up your eyes. It wasn’t fair, baiting you with his sweet sentiments only to throw it back in your face by finding the whole thing so funny. You were fed up.

“Yeah, you do.” His grin had morphed into a more nervous smile but you were already over whatever joke he was trying to pull.

“If you’re just here to take the piss, Sirius, then please just leave now because I really can’t take it anymore. You can’t just play around with me whenever you feel like it and then pretend it never happened the next day, it isn’t fair.” You huffed as you roughly pushed him off you.

He stayed frozen in place, only his eyes following you as you planted yourself back into bed and pulled the covers up over you, turning away from him. Slowly, he snapped back to reality. Pacing over quietly upon hearing a sniffle come from your cocoon of blankets.

“This isn’t a game, Y/N.” He murmured, “I’m not playing around.”

He sighed when you remained silent and cautiously sat down on the edge of your bed, as if he were worried you might push him straight back off.

“I didn’t mean to upset you. What I was going to say was… I love you too. Not in a jokey way. In a real ‘this person makes my heart warm up whenever they look at me’ kind of way.”

You turned over, eyeing him suspiciously, “You’re drunk.”

“A bit.” He let out a soft giggle, “Needed some liquid confidence to grow a pair and actually tell you. I’m not messing around, Y/N, I would never want to hurt you like that.”

He moved back slightly as you sat up, still looking at him sceptically.

“I thought you were just messing around.” You voice was barely above a whisper.

“I was… at first. I wasn’t sure how you felt towards me, I thought you might guess by the way I acted but then you always seemed so embarrassed later on so I would just play it off. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to confuse you.”

You nodded, finally allowing yourself to look up at him. As you did his hand came up to wipe the drying tears away from your cheeks, small smiles tugged at the corners of both of your lips and the moment felt strangely intimate.

“I love you, Y/N. Truly.” He spoke finally, a loving look of sincerity in his eyes.

A blush rose to your cheeks, “I love you too, Sirius.”

Both of you were smiling like idiots, relieved to have finally got the weight of your chests and to finally have each other.

He stayed with you that night so you wouldn’t be alone. Sleeping together in the most innocent form. He woke the next morning to find you curled up beside him, your face buried into his chest and your hand rather fittingly resting above his heart. He was regretting the booze (he had always secretly been a light weight) but he was very content with finally being yours.

Undrunk

A/N: this was originally based on the song Undrunk by FLETCHER but then just kinda went off on it’s own but listen to the song anyway it’s a bop. lowkey I feel like this kinda sucks but I haven’t written for my boy Sirius in so long and it’s still gonna be a while till I can get the next part of Arms Unfolding up so I wanted to get some writing out. hopefully it isn’t too sucky

Pairing: Sirius Black x Reader

Warnings: mentions of alcohol, mentions of sex, tiniest mention of vomit(?)

Word count: 1730

- MASTERLIST IN BIO -

It hadn’t ever been your plan to sleep with Sirius Black. You had known him long enough to be very familiar with his approach to dating and the reputation he had built up as a result. You had no interest in becoming another one of his conquests.

That was until a drunken kiss after a quidditch match led to a heated make out session and before you knew it you were going at it on Remus’ bed (he was less than impressed when he found out in the morning)

You had avoided all of the Marauders like the plague the next day. You couldn’t bare to face Remus (how Sirius had been desperate enough that he managed to pick the wrong bed in his own room you would never know), James and Peter would be ready and willing to take the piss and you most certainly did not want to see Sirius and his inevitable cocky smirk and annoyingly handsome face. You had managed to steer clear of all four of them for the remainder of the weekend but once Monday morning rolled around Sirius was able to track you down in a matter of hours. What you had been expecting was either teasing remarks or a hushed conversation agreeing to never discuss it again but you got none of that. Instead he had approached you with an offer that despite your better judgement, you were unable to refuse.

Long story short, that’s how you became friends with benefits with Sirius Black.
