Also sometimes people don’t say something about a topic because they’re being quiet to see if they might understand it later. Or maybe they’re being quiet for another reason. That’s their business.

I have stayed quiet about a great many societal issues in my life that I didn’t fully understand at the time and it has rarely been a bad decision.

This is not the same thing as staying quiet when you know for sure something is wrong. Waiting and learning isn’t the same thing as staying silent when you know you shouldn’t be.

Palestinians see Israel as a colonial project that tore them away from their homeland and Jews see Israel as a decolonial project that brought them back to their homeland and we can sit here and argue about who is “right” for 7 billion years or we can hold two narratives at once and recognize that the strip of land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea is a homeland for both Jews and Palestinians so we need to find some common ground and a way for both groups to live their freely

Basically anyone who has sat through and digested as much information possible about what both people have gone through and experienced has come to similar conclusions that neither people is or SHOULD go anywhere. A federation is needed along with a complete overhaul of what is the current status quo. Freedom of movement, equal rights, equal *protections* by military and security, equal treatment by law, and recognitions of peoplehood and history and culture, and in some form rights of return for both is necessary for a future as shared as ours.

Support solutions like Land For All and grassroots Palestinian-Jewish led organizations like Standing Together that approach this situation with experience actually *living* in Israel and Palestine. They know the attitudes and material conditions better than diaspora in many cases and are often times ignored or called all sorts of terms to discredit their opinions.
