Moana observed the map he pulled out...it was a sphere? How peculiar. With an eyebrow raised, she looked around it to see if the map was engraved on it. But that wouldn’t be possible to put everything on it so small. It seems to not work now matter how much he had tried to unfortunately. “Portal...world traveler...sounds like a big title ya got there.” She chuckled as soon as his rumbling stomach was loud and clear. “It’s alright, we could go and get something--”

It wasn’t long until another unusual has appeared from him, this time a floating...slime? That clearly started the girl for a moment until it was surely friends with him. Everything was already so strange and foreign to Moana, he was moving on as if nothing happened and entirely the norm for him. “No, it’s cool. I uh, have a hut back home you can stay in and food too. But...please explain to me what’s going on on the way too!” She looked closely at the floating goop and reached her finger out to poke it curiously. “That’s so cool! How is he doing that? When you fix your map you must tell me!”

“Wow, you’re very persistent, huh? As long as you try not to fall off your boat too many times, you’re good!” Moana joked, nodding her head to her own small yet trusty boat for him to join. “It takes a matter of patience and quick thinking. Trust me...it’s no good at well when you’re trying to fight against it. But first, you ever rode on a boat or raft? I don’t want you getting sick on here either.”

“No, it’s alright! You didn’t--” But she was already gone before Moana could finish. “...have to.” She huffed, watching the girl swim out in the waters to help her find her necklace. Moana really could have went out there herself but the girl was awfully persistent in helping. She watched her push through the waves and diving down...could it really have gotten this far down?

He had decided to accept his fate of accepting his fate. Which was to say, he had accepted that he was going to be here for while while he tried to figure out what mysterious shipwrecks washing ashore and a local girl who just won a national swim meet. He’s staring out at the water that laps up to the beach and he wonders if there will be some time for him to take a break to go surfing.

She noticed him staring at the ocean for quite some time, she wondered if he might be alright. She was much too curious for her own good she took her time to see, step by step and peeking around to see his gaze at the rolling waters. “Um...you still there?” She spoke up, gently giving his shoulder a poke if he were to react.

It took a while for the mermaid to open her eyes and actually say something. When it opened, turquoise orbs looked around—- a confuse expression is on her features, trying to find out WHERE she is. ❝ I—- where am I ?? ❞

“Whew, you’re alright! You’ve been out of it for a while...I found you near the rocks passed out. You’re on my home island.” She was alive much to her relief. But Moana couldn’t help but to admire her tail again, her first feeling of shock to see it finally subsiding. She couldn’t believe it...but mermaids were definitely real, not just some story her grandmother told her.

Yozora was trying to make sense to the woman about the whole situation at hand, he could tell that the info was hurting her head as he replies.

“I’m not exactly sure how to explain it without hurting your head with thinking…I’m sorry, thank-you so much for understanding and for the hospitality as it’s greatly appreciate miss…”

He replied with a soft smile and a respectful bow, showing his appreciation for her help as he tells her his name and extends his right hand in greeting.

“I go by the name ‘Yozora’, it’s very nice to meet you…”

Moana smiled warmly as she reached to grasp his hand and shook firmly. It was good he was a friendly stranger, it wouldn’t be good at all if someone so dangerous were to wash ashore and harm her family. But...she does have a good feeling to trust him after just helping him.

“I’m Moana, nice to meet you too! And welcome to Motunui, me and my people live on this island here. I can’t say we could offer in comparison to what you have where you’re from, but I’ll do best.”
