My Neighbor Balthrag? This sounds like it could be a "My Neighbor Balthrag" scenario

Thank you for the prompt, dear Anon!

Hey, Warhammer folks and Fuzz appreciators, I have an, as it is said in meme, trade offer

You give me a prompt of some kind of an interaction between one of Fuzzes (including Warhammer Fantasy version) and canon or original character of your choice

I will, keeping my backlog in mind, make you a sketch of it

Friendly interaction ideas preferred, romantic ones are cool too, as a fun what if

Fantasy Lacedrace as Squeak the Skaven: thought out story and concept, touching moments and more or less serious story, while being absolutely buck wild

Fantasy Shanakay as Of Yet Nameless dragon-riding vaguely-high elf: this. Dragon unfortunately not included in the picture

Is there a skaven!fuzz? do the gang just ignore the furry version of themselves from the universe next door?

Avatar

So, this was the ask that prompted me to think about Fantasy version of Fuzzes and especially skaven!Fuzz - Squeak! Who is "Lacedrace, but not daemon" in WH:F. And since Lacedrace was quite a ridiculous daemon - Squeak is a pretty ridiculous skaven.

In short: very timid skaven, unfit for the role intended by the skaven society and suffering a lot because of it, who decided to escape Under-Empire.

Expectedly, was not met with open arms and only managed to find some kind of a friend by sheer accident and by being terrible at being skaven.

Namely, befriended kislevite footsoldier Ivan. Somehow. And they set off to help the Motherland together, probably somewhere in the plot of Total War: Warhammer III.

So at the end of a long and arduous life journey Squeak settles in Kislev, makes funny and often explosive Rube Goldberg machines, and hodge-podges magic ice into even more technologically questionable inventions. Although pretty useful against daemons

So, apparently there is OC Kiss Week approaching sometime soon.

So if anyone for whatever reason would want to use my OCs in there - feel free to, I suppose?

Just, you know, tag me and play nice.

Alternatively, feel free to drop me a prompt to draw something thematic on my own.

In terms of OCs I have plenty for Warhammer40k, some for Tolkien's Legendarium, also for The Elder Scrolls and some other stuff. Feel free to inquire for specifics.

@rowscara as requested for lil non-romantic kiss - An'Hangra giving a hug and a little kissa to one of her many, many flesh hounds!

This is one of the more typically normal-looking flesh hounds of hers. But she absolutely has a lot of them based on rather distinct breeds of dogs and various canids and related. Including chihuahuas, I bet.

Random Fuzzverse Facts, part whatever

  • Shanakay is the only one of main four Fuzzes who has no wings and can't fly. Lacedrace is practically a birb and expert at flying. An'Hangra mostly uses her for bursts of speed, but can fly somewhat. Balthrag, while almost never doing it, able to hover around, but given her size it is not very fast or agile. And poor Shanakay has no wings. She is rather insecure about it.
  • Closest thing to romantic relationship in Sanya's life happens to be Filit. Filit happens to be a rather unhinged space elf of a "I am actually a tyranid" variety. Given she successfully bonded with a carnifex there might be some grain of truth to it.
  • In terms of actually setting-typical "everything is bad and terrible" tragic backstories main contesters for the gold star are probably Oona (with her superhuman family drama) and Por'Ui Vash'ya M'yen (hitchhiking t'au and the only survivor from a ship after a desperate last stand).
  • It is absolutely a plot point that Blood Ravens and Trazyn have a frenemy kind of business relationship when it comes to procuring rare goods. Also something-something Clonegrim the museum exhibit and an assistant manager.
  • If An'Hangra had time for social media half of it would absolutely be just crappy photos of her flesh hounds. At least half of remaining half would be reports from going to gym. Balthrag would forget to post for months on end. Also mandatory profile photo with her nurglings. Lacedrace would provide a roulette of either learning something interesting about the world or being told that Big E is just ten squats in a golden trenchcoat.
  • Shanakay actually has social media, I don't care how it would work, she must have one to share her art with the world. Or at least some parts of the world. Probably would make a locked account just to make everyone question what is being posted there. Probably nothing or notes to self and shopping lists, but the sheer mystery!

What do the Fuzzes think of the god's mortal champions? Typhus, Lucius, Ahriman and Kharn?

Avatar

Oh, this is interesting! Thank you for a question c: I will do them in pairs based on a deity since this is who would interact the most.

As per usual, a lot of it is in relation to what is "canon" in Fuzzverse, so, folks, don't go after my butt for making a cadaver from canon.

So, Lacedrace respects Ahriman from the professional standpoint and is drawn to his grand designs and dreams of restoring the legion, due to this often happy to drop by to work on something together. Somewhat managed to make the falling out between him and Magnus in regards to Rubric less volatile and made this a bit of a shared project between them to unscrew it.

An'Hangra and Kharn... Well, as it was mentioned earlier, she collects posters of famous warriors of the galaxy and has a signed one from him, so it gives some perspective. She does look up to him in terms of how formidable he is as a warrior. The closest thing I can really think of is really gym buddies. Her personal beef with Erebus, save for him being a very dishonorable bastard, is actually because he murdered Argel Tal, with whom Kharn was good friends.

Shanakay and Lucius are... Well, take one person obsessed with being a perfect swordsman and who can back the talk and take one daemon obsessed with perfecting all and every skill to be found and you get perfect sparring partners. On points of other forms of art or the importance of perfecting crotcheting and salad-making, they agree less. Does warp dust go in the salad and in what amount? A good question to fight it out.

Balthrag and Typhus do meet quite rare as I can hardly imagine him going out of the way to find her corner of Garden, but she herself I bet thinks of him in a moderately familiarly kind way, if it makes sense? They are all children and grandchildren to Papa Nurgle, after all. Some are rowdier than others. Also, I must admit I don't yet know enough about Typhus myself to make a call.

Random Bits of Fuzzverse Lore

Common Misconception: being a Primarch Oona is naturally driven to leadership and conquest.

Actual Reality: being a Primarch Oona suffers from hot chip packages being way too small and not spicy enough, while being naturally driven to be lazy and eat them whole day.

Common Misconception: having c'toaster on board requires extensive precaution and some necron-grade tech for containment

Actual Reality: having c'toaster on board requires extensive knowledge on dealing with playfully asshole cats

Common Misconception: hitchhiking t'au in the crew must be of fire caste (because of the battlesuit) and shoot good

Actual Reality: she is from the water caste, got her battlesuit as a last surviving member of the group and can't shoot to save life, so uses guns as clubs

Common Misconception: Lacedrace, being Lord of Change, must be the best at regicide.

Actual Reality: you are looking for Shanakay.

Much love for Sanya and the Fuzzverse <3 Does Sanya ever take the Fuzzes on tours of loyalist space? Showing off old haunts or memories?

Avatar

Thank you so much! I am glad if you enjoy this little... surreal experience of a story, hahaha.

And Sanya with his crew does travel all around the Galaxy, so definitely some tours to loyalist space. Ah, the benefits of having a mostly self-sustaining mess of a spaceship. It might look odd and slapped together by an ork in a hurry, but it does the job!

So yeah, in the travels there is a lot of nostalgic, historic and just haunts of the past moments along with trying to make the world better. In their own unique ways.

Fuzzes by the virtue of being daemons and hanging out with their governmentally assigned daemon primarchs are pretty well-educated about the events of Horse Hearsay.

Which for example leads to An'Hangra one day demanding to visit Istvaan III, purely so she can pay proper honors to Rylanor. Because you got to respect the spirit man had. Or Lacedrace always ready to conjure crystalline vistas of a long-gone past from many millennia ago on some forgotten world, where life once thrived but does so no more.

Sanya himself is more educated on recent-er events and Imperium Today kind of stuff, but readily sponges and learns through osmosis about pretty much anything, so he is a good sport for those visits and ready helps with picking interesting spots to visit from his own knowledge.

Also very likely went to see the place he went through while in the Imperial Guard to get some kind of closure and see if he is happy with the choice he made decades ago, when he left with scary daemon bird lady.

He is probably somewhat unsure still, but hey, going from shaking in dread after his first actual combat to travelling the world with his own starship and feeling that whatever happens in his life, surely it will turn alright in the end is something, right?

Anonymous asked:

“And with Balthrag he was really happy to just couch potato in her cabin in the endless bogs for some time.”

Please elaborate how sanya just chills in nurgles realm.

Sanya is born to chill but forced to live in the grim dark future where there is only war. Still finds a way to chill.

Also, I would, actually, note that pretty much nothing in Sanya's story, unfortunately, make sense canon-wise, unless one would see it as one big constant hallucination of a person puppeteered by a bunch of daemons, but seeing unfolding horror as a pleasant space road movie. Which admittedly can make a fun AU...

But this is not as fun to me as having a played straight story of whatever Sanya's ridiculous life is in. Probably an inane unreasonably hopeful comedy about one ridiculously lucky guy with a company of unreasonable misfits trying to unfuck 40k.

Back to the topic, this is one bit of his lore I am not sure about exact time placement, but roughly main bits of trivia about it are:
