No but YOU don't understand. Peeta, who's never been anyone's priority being Katniss’ first choice in all three books is something very important to me.

In The Hunger Games, when Peeta's name was called in the reaping, no one volunteered for him including his older brother who is not only old enough to participate but also a better wrestler than him. Even in the arena, Haymitch chose to keep Katniss alive over him. And the only person who prioritised him was Katniss herself. She chose to keep him alive when he was dying. She chose to die with him by eating the poisonous berries. She chose to go as far as defying the Capitol and President Snow to protect him.

In Catching Fire, once again, we heard his family would mourn if he died but they'll eventually move on. Other victors only keep him alive to form an alliance with Katniss. And Peeta still got captured by the Capitol in the end. But Katniss’ first priority was keeping Peeta alive. She made a pact with Haymitch to protect him. She was ready to kill Finnick or anyone on the spot if they dared to hurt him. She clawed Haymitch for not rescuing him over her. She became suicidal when he was captured.

In Mockingjay, Peeta lost his family. Then President Coin and other rebels didn't want to keep him (and other captured tributes) alive. And the only person who was visibly devastated over his capturing and hijacking was Katniss, again. And in the end, she finally chose him over Gale. And ultimately chose to be with him for the rest of her life. She gave him the family he lost and he became the family she lost.

“No one really needs me,” he says, and there's no self pity in his voice. It's true his family doesn't need him. They will mourn him, as will a handful of friends. But they will get on. Even Haymitch, with the help of a lot of white liquor, will get on. I realise only one person will be damaged beyond repair if Peeta dies. Me.
“I do,” I say. “I need you.”

Dandelion Grass Ring.

Wedding Bands were probably rare in District 12 and a silver ring with a fat gem is probably too capitol for comfort, so why not a grass ring? They may be temporary, but just as meaningful.

(Well actually, it’s because they had an impromptu toasting and Peeta had to get creative. 😊)

there's this split second part of the Coin/Snow assassination scene where Katniss is being dragged away and has sort of a blank/shocked look in her eyes but also has the tiniest little smile and I LOVE IT. And of course Donald Sutherland's deranged expression is impeccable so I included that too. <3

Katniss: No, I can go 24 hours without talking to Peeta. I'm not crazy.

Also Katniss, that night: I take back what I said about being able to not talk to you for 24 hours. That was the longest 6 hours of my life.

Flatshare!everlark (8/8)

The end! Thanks for the ride, you guys. It’s been wild! Warning: This section is rated M ☺️ Read it on AO3

There’s a knock at the door around 4:30 that afternoon. Katniss isn’t expecting guests, she rarely is.

She opens the door, and her breath catches when she finds Peeta on the other side. His head is bowed, and their faces are so close, their lips are nearly touching. She takes a step back, to allow him entrance, but he follows each stride, never breaking their distance.

“Good morning, Katniss,” he says. She stares at his mouth as it forms each word. She feels dizzy, he’s so close.

“Good night, Peeta,” she manages to say.

His lips quirk. “Not yet,” he says.

Can we just be honest about this quote? I know you’re probably sick of me reblogging this thing, but it is seriously one of my favorite quotes of the books . Easily in my Top Ten (which doesn’t actually exist.)

I think this perfectly describes how those small touches are incredible. Amazing. Powerful. A brush of the hand. A lingering hug. A whisper in your ear.

She loves, needs and wants his touch or it wouldn’t feel “so good, so impossibly good…” It wouldn’t. I don’t care how cute, kind or loving you are, your lips better not be touching my neck…unless I want them to be.

I love these little moments of Everlark that are purely their own:

  • Them wrapped around each other at night on the train and in the training center
  • Katniss asking Peeta to stay in her bed, in her house, with everyone downstairs.
  • The Cheese Bun time…
  • Them both wanting to sacrifice his or her own life for the other.
  • This hug and snuggle on the couch.
  • The roof.
  • Wanting no one to invade their bubble and wanting to spend “every minute possible” together.
  • The last night before the Quell and the kiss before they part.

After that, cameras are involved, but I don’t think it really matters anymore. There is no need to put on a show. They really love each other. Their actions are genuine toward one another.

In one word : LOVE

All of this and a slice of warm apple pie a la mode, man.

That sounds perfect.

Kiss #12…

I mean, ten minutes, guys….

ten minutes…

TEN MINUTES!!!!

Now, it’s just innumerable. I mean, go kiss someone for ten minutes. Come back and tell me how many kisses that was. With this and the broth kisses, our count is just freaking way off. Is it fair to say the Kiss Count is at 30?

I don’t even know. I don’t even know.

Anonymous asked:

Why have you gone p much inactive? You not feeling the fandom anymore?

Honestly just busy with life....working...children...traveling. All that stuff.

I love the fandom so much and still talk to some of my friends from here. It's just a lot to create, queue and lead. I actually did a huge reread last year and loved engaging with everyone again.

I'm still here. :)
