i was lucky enough to join a dnd campaign back in 2019 and its been SUCH an amazing ride! we actually just celebrated our 3 year anniversary, too! so it feels kinda fitting to crosspost this ref of her now.
Shiney is a mountain dwarf, Oath of the Ancients paladin who worships a god named Dunatis. her holy symbol is an opal, and her halberd, Terranhart, is an ancestral weapon! it was bestowed upon her by her mother after we managed to rescue her from the Underdark, and prevent a demon lord from crossing over into the material plane to trigger an armageddon! dnd is. insane.

drew this back in 2021, to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of our dnd campaign! started off originally as a goofy sketch just to work out the truly insane height range of our party, but then it spiraled quickly into a full-fledged party lineup! they make my heart so warm ;0;

this is Aine Caragh, a dwarf from my dnd pc's hometown and the first girl she ever loved! she worked as a shepherd, but moved away before Shiney ever had the courage to confess. she was mentioned only briefly in the campaign proper but i still wanted to make a proper design for her!
fun fact: the name Aine ("awn-ya") is one of the wives of Fionn MacCool, and is connected to fruitfulness & prosperity. her last name Caragh ("kar-ah") means “friend” & “beloved”! i wanted to name the girl Shiney pined for to be smth suitably tender, and Gaelic names r great for that hahaa

DrawTober 04: RoYo-Cycle
The idea of a halfling on a huge chopper motorcycle that was clearly made for a medium to large sized creature, but rocking it is very amusing to me. What better way to show that than with Roxy and Yoyo. I imagine these two shredding the open roads not giving a tuff of wool and saying yolo-esque phrases. Yoyo stretching for all her worth to steer and throttle the bike while Roxy sports her cap just enjoying the time together and whatever the road gives them.

Roxy and Yoyo On Hold
I was sketching some cute couple poses and I liked this one the most to flesh it out using @flaresiram ‘s Yoyo and @skullymingo ‘s Roxy. You can see the other sketch I was considering to line which was just a reversal of the initial pose. I didn’t feel like drawing their D&D outfits so I asked the two of them what Roxy and Yoyo’s modern clothing outfits would look like. Both of them sent me very through outfits. Everything from accessories to what type of bag they would carry. It was really cool especially since I was planning to mess with gradients and screen tones on this drawing! Playing with the D&D characters in a modern setting idea I initially imagined them being at a dock or pier, but ditched that since it didn’t feel right. Instead made the thing Roxy was leaning on a brick wall near a cross walk. I imaged they were enjoying each other’s company waiting for the rest of the Skullbuddies.
