"Cleaved" What should have happened
I really liked the svtfoe finale but I think that where some plot points that should have been answered that I will be addressing in this interpretation of the finale. Anything not mentioned will remain the same.
We pick up as Star and Marco enter the realm of magic in the hopes of destroying it. As star begins to recite the whispering spell the dark unicorn, the unicorn foals, and Tom appear and attempt to foil the plan. Marco defends star as she continues with the plan and an awsome battle ensues between Marco and the darkicorn. Marco quickly realizes that every spell the throws at the darkicorn either fades before it can reach it or is absorbed by the darkicorn.
Meanwhile Star has trouble finishing the spell due to the foals chasing her around, it is at this moment another portal opens and out steps Moon, Eclipsa, and Meteora. Star directs the three of them to say the spell in her place but sensing the magic the foals start attacking them aswell.
The Butterflys regroup with Marco who has been getting his butt kicked by the darkicorn as Tom sits atop it. The group proceeds to run from the hoard when Marco mentions to Star that Tom appears tired and sapped of magic
The weary group decides to face them head on but every spell they cast is absorbed by the unicorns. In the ensuing conflict a tired Moon gets impaled through the stomach by the the darkicorn, seeing this Eclipsa hands Meteora to Marco to watch as she transforms into her butterfly form and lures the unicorns away.
In a dramatic and heart touching moment Moon and Star reconcil as the dark corruption from the wound saps the former Queen's magic and her cheek marks fade. As the darkness spreads across her mother's body and into the surrounding water Star recognizes it as remnants from Toffee's attempt to destroy magic that have been lingering in the RoM and corrupting/absorbing magic every where. She realises that if she was to destroy the magic magical creatures would become like the darkicorn and those with no magic would fade and become corrupted.
Eclipsa returns having lead the darkicorn far enough away that they can all get a moment of rest and come up with a new plan. Unfortunately for everyone it is at this moment Mina enters the RoM. Her entrance gives Star and idea and she tells Marco to lure the darkicorn to Mina while she and Eclipsa stall for time.
Marco does so, knocking Tom's limp body off in an attempt to get its attention. Now being chased by the darkicorn as he carries Tom's unconscious body Marco nearly makes it to where Star and Eclipsa are battling Mina before being impaled on its horn from behind.
Thinking Marco has been delt with the darkicorn turns it attention to the royals and interrupts their fight. Focusing on Mina due to the large amount of unstable magic she is giving off the two fight. Mina tries to use her solarian sword to kill the monster but the slashes are either avoided or absorbed by the darkicorn, eventually it manages get Mina in her sword arm. Her magic having been stolen Mina reverts to her normal form and drops her sword, Star proceeds to dive for the sword and use it to behead the darkicorn.
As the darkicorn's head hits the water a pure ring of magic eminates from the dissolving head that purifies all it reaches. Appearing with the purification the spirits of the former queens appear to acknowledge the good the current queens have done for magic.
The source of the corruption having been killed the RoM and those affected beginning to revert back to what everything was like before Toffee, but there is still the issue of the remaining solarian soldiers. Approaching the spirit of her mother Eclipsa hands Solaria the wand and asks her to take back the magic that made the Solarian Soldiers. Solaria does so and before fading with the rest of the queens she looks at her daughter and hugs her, she then looks and her granddaughter and smiles before looking back at Eclipsa. Her last words to her daughter, "You did what I couldn't, and you did it your own way, be better than me, you already are."
Returning to Mewni those harmed by the mark are healed, aid is given to those who's homes are destroyed and everyone starts healing. Eclipsa approaches Moon and brings up the idea of a new Mewni council with representatives from every kingdom and race on Mewni to replace the MHC and offering Moon the position of her representative due to their shared care for the citizens of Mewni, she agrees.
And so after centuries of division both Mewmans and Monsters finally start to work towards healing...
