listen, they all assume ladybug has something against Marinette and they get super mad and are like what the heck is wrong with you Ladybug why don’t you like Marinette?!?! finally Rena is like Rena: You know what I say? Carapace:  i have to agree Chat noir: nothing personal ladybug, marinette is just actually the best. i’ve also been considering falling in love with her Queen Bee: … (so confused and in shock/doesn’t know what to say)  D:

Rena, Chat Noir, Carapace, with their 3 brain cells get pumped up and say YEAH!! YEAH LET’S DO IT

She takes them to her house and uhhhhh does some silly illusion like in magic tricks where they cut the lady in half but actually it’s two ladies… except… opposite…  she’s standing behind a dressing panel and they’re all sitting on her chaise patiently, hands folded watching Marinette pretend to have a conversation with ladybug, transforming back and forth, poking her head out on either side to exaggeratedly say important parts of the conversation at them. finally Marinette says: Marinette: wow, ladybug, thanks for the honor. Marinette voice: what do i say? spots on?  Ladybug: yeah! spots on!  Marinette: spots on! *magic noises*  Ladybug: wow, marinette, you look great as ladybug! (Chat Noir is getting nervous and excited, carapace elbows him teasingly)  Ladybug: alright go show your friends how great you look as Ladybug!! Marinette: Okay Ladybug! Thanks Ladybug! Ladybug: You’re welcome, Ladybug!!

*she kicks down the dressing panel as Ladybug and glares at them with her hands on her hips*

queen bee gasps, they all stare

Rena, Carapace (simultaneously): W..Where’s Marinette/Ladybug? (they look at each other, then again stare back at Ladybug.

Chat Noir’s jaw drops a little bit, lets out a small “oh”

then it clicks for all four of them and they all say …ooOOHHHH……. 

they sit in silence

ladybug glares

carapace clears his throat, then they all say “Sorry, Ladybug/Marinette”  each  saying different names for her and hang their heads in shame

Ladybug: now can we go defeat the akuma Them, with their 4 brain cells: yeah, yeah let’s go defeat the akuma

This is actually genius and I hope to see a scene like this one day 😂😂

Logic over Control or  “The Spy Who Does his Best”

So after season 5 first aired, I posted this theory about the possible nature of Operation Kuron: Stage 4, and that Haggar was possibly using Shiro/Kuron to protect her son. 

A little while ago, I made this post answering some objections to that theory, but also mentioned there could be other reasons for Shiro’s behavior in season 5. 

That reasoning being he’s fucking right. 

Honestly, I find it stranger that the team keeps disagreeing with him on everything. And let me clarify, I think Shiro is doing the right thing given his understanding of the situation. It’s possible that Lotor is withholding information about his intentions. Also the manner in which Shiro/Kuron does things is not always right, but the actions themselves make total sense.
