The Magus’s Colorful Quiz

Hello, everybody! It’s your friendly neighborhood Magus here coming with an announcement for y’all: we just hit 188 followers! Whooooo! To celebrate this fantastical number (did you know that it’s equal to 48^2 - 46^2? Wow, you just never stop learning, huh), I’m going to do a little something: in case the title wasn’t enough of a hint, I am going to let anyone who feels like it take my own little Color Pie Quiz! (credits to @justfuckingnougat for giving me the inspiration aka I’m blatantly copying their idea)

How does this work? Easy: below you will find 15 questions. What you’re going to do if you want to take the quiz is reblog this post with your answers, and then eventually I’ll come along and tell you which colors I think you are (instead of rebloging your post, I’ll probably make another post from scratch and tag you, that way I avoid having to spam people by rebloging a bunch of super long posts), based on your answers: please note that both the questions and the interpretations are provided by me. I’ll try to be as objective as possible. If you’re not convinced by the results that’s absolutely fine, if you know the essentials of the Color Pie you probably are the best person for analyzing your Colors, but sometimes it can be fun/interesting to get someone else’s opinion on it, albeit with a little grain of salt.

Right, one more thing before we begin. The questions are neither multiple choice nor True/False. I tried to ask questions which are specific enough that people can’t go on to talk about something completely off-topic, but I’m giving you the possibility of ‘expanding’ a little bit, if you want to add a thought of yours or explain the reasoning behind your answer, for example. It’s totally up to you.

And now… unleash The Quiz®!

1) You are offered a wallet which can generate any amount of money you wish, as long as each time you use it you ask for a sum which is at least 50$ more than the amount of money it gave you last. You must use it at least once a day, and you must spend the money within the day, or you die. Considering how introducing large amounts of new money into the system could (and eventually would) impact the economy, do you accept the wallet? If you do, how do you plan on using it?

Destroy the wallet immediately, it will destroy me by giving me power that people should not have.It will also destroy the economy in which I live.

2) You are given the possibility of having any one person in the world die, and no one would ever suspect your involvement. Do you take this chance and, if so, who do you kill and why?

After a long time thinking about who should, I would kill someone who causes great misfortune for others (serial rapist, mass murderer)  .

3) Do you believe in some sort of higher power? What do you think awaits us after death?

It seems hard to justify a higher power based on rationality, that being said it is hard to denie a higher power based on reason but still slightly more compelling. However, if a higher power was rationally justifiable then absolutely. The existence of God is an either or and there it no middle ground it is just hard to see which.

4) One night, you have a lucid dream where you’re in an empty space, holding a mysterious object: a light-weight cube slightly bigger than your fist. It constantly shifts color and, as you turn it over in your hands, you notice it has four dials (each one on a different side), a display, a button which reads “SELECT” and an inscription: Choose one. No two dials have the exact same symbols on them (some are different, some are shared, some dials have more symbols than others), but they are all new to you. The moment you touch a dial, the display lights up: Substance Mimicry. After rotating one of the dials, you realize that each combination of symbols equals a different (and, as far as you can tell, distinct) superpower. What do you do?

Find the super power that lets me read minds! I would love to fully understand how others think.

5) What do you think of ‘white lies’? How about lying in general?

Lying leads to a distorted relationship, if I lie to a friend then I have abused our relationship and it is not a real friendship. Instead I have a relationship of power, my friend becomes a tool. Thus if we lie then we cannot have friends. However, sometime lying can be in the friends best interest, in which point I will consider lying.

6) Personality-wise, what would you say your greatest strength is? How about your biggest weakness?

Can be quick witted.

I find it very hard to engage in conversation with strangers and have little desire to meet new people.

7) You accidentally find out that one of your best friends, who’s in a relationship, has recently cheated on their partner, whom you’ve met a few times (and found them to be quite friendly and light-hearted). Your friend swears that it was just a one-time occurrence and it won’t happen again. What do you do?

Confront the friend and tell them that they need to talk to their partner. If they wont talk about it with their partner then be understanding and only confront the partner if they remain oblivious and the friend continues to cheat over a period of months.

8) You receive the power of being capable of transforming back and forth between yourself and an animal of your choice at will (as long as it’s a vertebrate–aka fish, amphibian, reptile, mammal, or bird). What animal do you choose and why?  (note: when you morph back to human you’ll still be wearing your clothes)

Probably a bird of prey, It would be really fun to fly around and useful to get from one point to another. I would not like to be a potential meal for other birds if I can help it.

9) What are the three adjectives that describe personality you hope no one will ever associate to you?

Stupid, worthless, and irrational.

10) The world influences us from the very beginning of our life with a relationship of cause and effect. In fact, our existence is technically influenced even by (some) things that happened millions of years ago: everything that has ever happened has lead up to this moment. Do you think that a hypothetical being with a perfect understanding of the past and the present would be able to ‘predict’ the future?

Yes. However this is incredibly complicated and I could be entirely wrong. However, I think that universal laws are knowable.

11) Name one thing you really like and one that you really dislike that didn’t exist ten years ago.

I am really glad that I am in college and a philosophy major.

I dont like the responsibility I have.

12) You’re given the option of turning time back to when you were a baby, but maintaining all the knowledge you currently have. Do you take it?

It would be really hard growing up as a child with adult intelligence, but if it meant I had more time to think I would give it serious consideration.

13) You decide to go on a fun trip with a group of friends: you buy the tickets, get a hotel, and you have a rough idea of what you’d like to go see. A few days before departure, you get a message from one of your friends, the one who had the idea for the trip and is the ‘more or less official’ organizer, asking you to help them plan out the details of what the group is going to do each day, and the relative schedule. What do you do?

Help them.

14) Pick up to two of the first thirteen points where you enjoyed the question and felt convinced about your answer.

11,4

15) Pick up to two of the first thirteen points where the premise of the question didn’t really appeal to you or felt off and you answered mostly for the sake of completion

13, 6
