i know a lot of us have been rightfully critical of taylor’s activism in regards to the Black Lives Matter movement, and i’m in no position to say if what she’s doing is enough, but i’m glad to see that it seems like she’s listening to us and educating herself. she’s been getting more and more vocal over the past few days and i hope she continues to speak up

Also, I just really want to point out that Taylor is NOT Time’s Person Of The Year. Time’s Person Of The Year is ALL of the people (especially women) who spoke up this year, including Taylor. I’m seeing a lot of you guys make edits and posts about her being person of the year and I feel like it sort of downplays the importance of the movement itself. I love love love Taylor but it’s about the movement, not the person.

I’m just going to keep reblogging this until more of y’all get the point.

ok i hate when people say this because I know it’s Taylor who is interacting with fans on tumblr/twitter/instagram. Back in 2015, I met Taylor in Loft 89 in Nashville. For the picture we took together, we both crossed our arms like an X because my @ is multayply (a combination of Taylor and Ed’s second album). So when I was explaining the pose I told her “yeah i was wondering if we could do this because my twitter is multayply” and she literally CUT ME OFF and said “OMG i recognize your URL i thought it was so funny.” I didn’t tell Taylor she followed me. I didn’t give her any indiciation that she had ever interacted with me on social media ever. I was not specially selected for Loft 89 because of my social media, so Taylor Nation couldn’t have told her anything about me. She literally just knew because she’s the one who is spending so much of her time interacting with us because she cares about us.

Same when she said to me, “I thought we’ve met already??” And then I told her nope! And she said “OMG I SPEND TOO MUCH TIME ONLINE!” I definitely told her it’s totally okay, so do we haha

This woman is always so wonderful to us!!
