Summary:

He chooses an undergrad English course, American Poetry Through the 19th and 21st Centuries. The combined English and History building was a short walk to the library, the class met on Tuesday and Thursday after his regular shifts, reading poetry was a walk in the park compared to the law textbooks he usually skimmed through to study for the bar, and when he plugged “Wyll Ravengard,” into RateMyProfessor he had an overall 4.7 out of 5 rating next to a flaming chili pepper.

Astarion needs to take a class to keep his enrollment status until next quarter. Wyll happens to teach that class.

face down in a puddle of my own tears thinking about how wyll ravengard grew up convenient and compliant, desperate for love and affirmation. how he applied himself to every skill his father asked of him, found role models in fairy tales and legends, devoted himself to doing whatever was asked of him. never wanted to make his father worry…………..

how after all the work he put in to managing his father’s emotions didn’t translate into the benefit of the doubt. how the simple fact that he physically couldn’t explain it didn’t give his father cause to speculate how his child was backed into a corner and chose the many over the few—a city of souls to his one. all the good he’d done meant nothing, he was kicked out of his home, and his own father couldn’t just trust that he was trying to prove that there was a reason. that mizora had sweetened the pot with the addendum of targets being limited to only infernal, demonic, heartless, and soulless—he could make it worth it even beyond saving the city!

but ulder couldn’t see past how he was hells-touched, and wyll rationalized it as his father doing the right thing, that he deserved to be kicked out. absolutely sick to my stomach about it tbh

i know i keep talking about what spells from 5e i’m gonna use in my sanctuary but part of me thinks it’s funny if someone cast legend lore on ulder and literally all it says is “grand duke and marshall of the flaming fist,” with Nothing else compared to wyll where it details his time in avernus, becoming the blade of frontiers, traveling through the underdark and becoming known as life chanter by the myconid colony, liberator of the nightsong, ender of the shadow curse, his hand in unearthing the bhaal temple, killing the chosen of the dead three, and defeating the netherbrain before it even gets to his political accomplishments and work with housing refugees

when is comes to asexuality and aromanticism you have to be okay with contradiction. one ace person will say asexuality is about not experiencing attraction, another will say it’s about not caring to act on attraction, another will say it’s not experiencing arousal. one aromantic will consider themself queer, one won’t. two people with seemingly identical experiences will use two different labels. aro people will be in romantic relationships, ace people will have sex. you get it.
