My wife asked me if I could make a space themed nightlight for the nursery and I think I've really got something going here- remote-operated, wall-mounted, dimmable, rocket ship nightlight!

Mirror maze music box inspired by Kisses in the Dark podplay by MancMade Productions, a dark romance with a clever twist on vampire lore set in/around Blackpool.

I think I've fallen in love with Blackpool actually, like entirely sight unseen. I do love a honky-tonk seaside town though.

(Veneer text in mirrored font quotes the play- "This Blackpool of beautiful death.")

A gift for a friend who couldn’t be in NYC for the 2020 holidays. Green resin “tree” with confetti snow containing a real piece of the 2019 Rockefeller Christmas Tree. My wife got a few little snippets of the big tree from the guys who were trimming it at the time and she gave me this one. <3 It is lit from within with a tiny led. The plinth is a birch disk that’s been hollowed out to hold the tiny lighting kit (from Evans Designs). The label is aluminum tape embossed with a Dymo tapewriter and dyed with alcohol inks.

This is my first resin project and I think I made every possible mistake with it! I love the material though, so I’m going to keep working at it.

Our Lady Julia, Goddess of the Tree- a doll commissioned by an awesome Magicians fan as part of the Magicians fandom BLM charity fundraiser. Based on Julia Wicker from The Magicians books trilogy/TV show (played by Stella Maeve).

Jointed canvas cloth doll, grey wool embroidered circle skirt (cut from salvaged garment) with green tulle underskirt, green tulle wrap top with gathered regency hood, interlaced pintuck back, hand colored flowers, and gold bee button closure, faux suede shoes with gold bee printed soles, toned brass crown, mohair wig.

I try to do something new for each doll. This was my first time designing this type of flat pattern (and I’m pretty pleased with how it came out since I have a serious visual spatial relations deficit). I also used liver of sulfur for the first time to tone the crown from bright brass to a more mellow gold color. It stinks, but it works. Despite not being an artist of any kind, I do think I am finally getting better at drawing the faces, which is, frankly, a relief.
