Early results skewing largely to the newest animation on here, based on this I desperately need all late millennials to understand what a dark and demented place the internet was pre-2005

Text from recipe

Tim Cain's Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins -- They're the shadow king's favorite!

  • 1 and 2/3 cup flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin (half of a 16 oz can)
  • 1/2 cup (one stick) butter, melted

preheat oven to 350. grease muffin tins (one dozen regular size) or use baking cups. mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Break eggs into another bowl. add pumpkin and butter and whisk until blended. stir in chocolate chips. pour over dry ingredients and stir until just blended. do NOT overstir! scoop batter into tins and bake 20-25 minutes. after cooling, keep muffins wrapped in plastic to avoid drying.

it would be cool if knowing a behavior or thought pattern was irrational made you stop doing it

Pizzagate is a different thing which is a false conspiracy that there are democrat-aligned child-trafficking organisations based under pizza restaurants found out from emails obtained from police. This is why interest in "Hillary's emails" was a huge talking point amongst Trump supporters. This conspiracy theory tragically lead to those who believed it to siege and kill in at least one instance.

This post is about something completely different: the Pizza Index, also called the Washington Pizza Index. This is an urban legend (insofar as the government has not come out and confirmed its accuracy nor precision as a statistical predictor) which correlates pizza orders from specific restaurants in Washington DC to US government action overseas within the next few days.

The reasoning behind the correlative indicator is due to these restaurants being located close to government offices where, presumably, in the lead up to a large (often military) undertaking overseas, there are a large amount of government professionals working overtime on short notice who require to have food delivered to the offices while they work. Pizza is believe to be the best option as it's the easiest to transport, easiest to order, and can cover most if not all dietary options as opposed to other types of American Fast Food. Though I wouldn't be surprised if other types of places also experience an uptick of orders.

Ergo, if one were to monitor pizza restaurants near The Pentagon, The Whitehouse, and known CIA offices in Washington DC continuously. You will notice an uncharacteristic rush of activity and orders and be one of the first public individuals to know of massive government activity just from purely watching the (Washington) Pizza Index.

Oh please may I have both "too many beds" and "really nice guy who only hates you"

Avatar

I did one for "too many beds" but "really nice guy who only hates you" is for sure a Joe/Nicky modern AU where the hatred stems from a legitimate wrong that happened ages ago but the hated person can't remember which of the shitty things they did is the problem and doesn't know how to apologize.

Truly love the number of people I've met that have been like "Well I went to a Catholic school as a kid, which is to say I'm not Catholic" like damn Catholic schools really out here doing the exact opposite of missionary work.

There should be a fanfic writing game called the showrunners challenge where someone writes a story and partway through someone else can play things like "actor leaves after 4000 more words" or "topic now too politically sensitive due to unforeseen world events" or "lost rights to that reference"

"A cishet person must have made this, no queer person would ever portray queerness in this way."

"This artist must be white."

"No SA victim would ever handle the subject in this way."

"No woman would ever write women like this."

"This creator is obviously neurotypical. Everyone with autism/ADHD/depression understands-"

Nope.

People who make these blanket statements are very frequently proven wrong when the creator comes out as a member of that group. And even when they aren't proven wrong, even in cases where the creator isn't from the group in question, actual members of the group who don't fit whatever arbitrary criteria are being expressed will see these statements and feel excluded and erased.

Not everyone in your group is going to share your experiences. No single individual gets to personally decide what does or doesn't count as a "valid" expression of trauma or being part of a particular group, and creators are also not obligated to out themselves in order to "prove" their validity.

If something doesn't resonate with you, all that means is that it doesn't resonate with you. You don't have to like it. But you don't get to decide what it means to someone else.
