Are you an artist? Do you like Sailor Moon? Do you like the idea of the Sailor Guardians interacting with Shitennou in platonic and romantic ways? Or do you just want to come hang out with a great group of Sailor Moon creatives and collaborate together?

@ssminibang is an annual event for artists and writers to pair up and create works based on Senshi/Shitennou. It doesn’t have to be the traditional romantic pairings like Venus and Kunzite, friendship pairings and everything in between are also welcomed! How would Haruka react to the Shitennou? Would Zoisite and Michiru exchange fashion tips? Would Hotaru make Nephrite’s star simulation explode?
Past, present, future, and alternate timelines are all accepted! How would the Shitennou be as babysitters to infant Chibi Usa? What if the Inners were turned evil instead of the Shitennou? What did Pluto think of the Shitennou while she watched from the Door of Time?
That means artists submit sketches and ideas for writers to chose from, and then the pairs work together on their collaboration until posting sometime in late fall. All submission should invoke the idea of SPACE, please check out @ssminibang for more information!
We’re always looking for more artists, especially during reverse bang! So if you like to create visual media and want to give writers even more options to chose from, come sign up!

It’s Thursday, folks. Before lunch even! Look at me go. This week in Love Potion No. Oops Chapter 5, Minako and Jadeite do what they probably should have done in the first place, even if they haven’t realized it yet. Not that it would have been as much fun. *shrug* Enjoy! I’m off to work on the last difficult chapter (I think. Maybe I’m being too optimistic?)

My submission to the Senshi & Shitennou Mini & Reverse Mini Bang - Fallow Year 2021 is up ... or at least the first chapter. The second and last chapter will be up before the end of the year :). Huge thanks to the mods over at @ssminibang for setting this up!

A Sailor Moon fanworks project answering the question “What If Crystal Tokyo had a Met Gala?” The idea is to design a high fashion couture outfit featuring at least one Sailor Moon character based on the theme. Creations can be any type of media, including writing about the fashion or the gala itself.
This year’s theme is Dreams and Eternity celebrating the release of the Eternal Movies. Like the real Met Gala, this theme can be explored as literally or figuratively as you like.

And here they are…the themes for the first Sailor Moon Rare Pair Week! You’ll have until the week of March 27th to finish your fanworks (and don’t worry if you’re a little late), so I hope y’all have fun and create a lot of content!
As I mentioned before, for the purpose of this event, EVERY pairing that is NOT Usagi/Mamoru (or any of their incarnations, like Serenity/Endymion) counts as a rare pair, including crossovers. Almost anything goes, as long as you follow some simple guidelines.
- Fanworks should somehow incorporate one of the day’s themes. (You can pick just one; you don’t have to use both.) How you choose to interpret the theme is entirely up to you! (And please don’t feel pressure to do something for each day. This is supposed to be fun, so just do as many days as you want, whether that’s only one or all seven!)
- A non-UsaMamo pair must be the focus of the work (although Usagi/Mamoru can appear as a side pairing or as part of a polycule).
- All ratings allowed.
- No smut involving underage characters, which I’m defining as under 18 years old. Otherwise, as long as the characters are portrayed as adults in the fanwork, go wild! Just please make sure to properly tag.
- Pairings of all sexual/romantic orientations welcome, including polyships.
- Fanfics should be a minimum of 500 words. Poetry may be shorter, though.
- Fanart should be a completed drawing.
- Graphics, image boards, playlists, cosplay photos, crafts, meta/essays, etc. are also welcome!
- Comments, kudos, and reblogs are encouraged, but don’t be a jerk. If you’re not a fan of a pairing, please just ignore and move on.
On Tumblr, if you tag #smrarepairweek2022 or @ this account, I will reblog your post. If you’re writing fanfic, I would prefer you post your fics on AO3 or Fanfiction.net and provide a link to your story, but if you must post on Tumblr itself, please make use of the “Read More” option to save people from endless scrolling. Any fanart portraying nudity or anything of an R/NC-17 nature should be cropped if immediately visible on your post. You can post the full image under a “Read More” (if you think it’ll get past the censors) or provide a link to the image on another site. I’ll tag explicit art and fics as NSFW, if you would like to block that tag and not see those posts.
I have also created a collection for the event on AO3, but I’ll wait to link that until it’s closer to the event. Please don’t post your fanworks anywhere until the event starts!
