in late 2011, one direction released their debut album, up all night. the four years that followed were delightful, and the world seemed at peace. but everything was disrupted when they announced their hiatus around 2016. terrible things started happening; trump got elected, countries fell into crisis, climate change got worse, jared leto played the joker… the list goes on and on.
