My new favourite place to study at!! Look at this, it’s perfect 🥹 I loved preparing my exam here ^^ I had this big exam a few days ago, 1 hour long oral test with two professors, and I passed 💃🏻 I’m so relieved :”) In this class we also had a interesting lab, I’m gonna post some pics from those experiences soon~

I don’t think I have an all time favourite compound but recently I’ve been learning about cyclodextrins and I think they are really cool! They are rings of glucose that can keep molecules in their holes. They are even used in deodorants since they can exchange a molecule of smelly substances with a molecule of perfume, how smart!

I managed to get a seat at the window! Having an open space in front of me instead of a wall helps me but unfortunately I don’t have it at home ;;
Today my friend graduated and I’m so so so proud!! Happiness overloading here!!

since you do seem like a master with studying chem to me, can you pls give me some advice how i should make short notes on it? in a way that I can thoroughly revise what i studied without having to go through the text again??

Chemistry is not easy to summarise tbh ahah it depends on what you need to study
If you have reactions to memorise, group them with the reagent(s) they have in common so you can easily spot the differences between them
If you have to learn a more general topic, usually the explanation is quite linear (cause-effect type), try writing down the main points so you can see all the steps one after the other at a glance, if you’re a visual learner type you can use a flow chart too
If you have to study molecules as I had for my latest exam, the important thing is to highlight the backbone structure (and to know why each functional group is important for the molecule’s activity) and then list all the possible substitutions you can have, this can be done with a diagram for example

Quite a lot of changes happened in the past months, one of those is we got a brand new lab building! We even have windows now!! So here’s the view we were gifted yesterday 🥰
We’re doing instrumental analysis of drugs lab and yesterday we met GC for the first time ^^’

i don’t even know where to begin here. it is absolutely unbelievable that this tiny studyblr that started with a terrible picture of coffee stained physics notes has grown into something so much larger than myself. through this blog, i have met so many wonderful, lovely people, learned a lot about myself and the world around me, and been able to advocate for causes i care about through this platform. i am so, so grateful for all of you. thank you for choosing to follow me, a vaguely stressed, depressed, and tired student just surviving off of memes and boba tea, and for supporting me as i traversed through med school apps. y’all are fantastic. your support means everything to me. i am so glad to have you all.
