Gideon gently draws his hand from hers and lets it trail down her jaw to her neck, from her neck to her collarbones to rest just above her breast. He leans forward for a kiss and feels his blood ignite. "Can I touch you?" The words are murmured against her lips, soft enough not to break the moment.
"I would really like to touch you." (He might implode if he doesn't get to touch her).
Gideon had expected love to feel like a lot of things, pain, numbness, contentment, but this? This burning feeling of connection? He hadn't expected that. Everything Lydia did set his body on fire. She'd turned over in her sleep the night before and he'd nearly combusted in lust. Was this what love was? Did everyone feel this way about their partners? he may be the insatiable one, but the honeymoon phase of the relationship is still all too real, and it takes lydia less than a few touches to feel like her skin is tight across her bones, her pulse thrumming loudly in her ears. and when it comes to teasing him in reply to the way his mind constantly wanders to closed door activities, she’s not shy at all about how much she reaps the benefits of it.
“i’m sure i can come up with a few of my own, but … ” she smirks as she sits herself up, letting her own fingers tease a path down his chest, grazing lower towards his stomach. “why don’t you tell me what you have in mind? i always enjoy hearing your fun ideas.”
As his back hits the mattress, Gideon settle his hands on his wife's hips. He's struck by her beauty as he gazes at her above him. Her soft hair and curves, her smile and the glint in her eyes.

Gideon reaches up and traces his fingers over the marriage rune where it sits over her heart. He remembers pressing the tip of the stele to her skin and tracing the strokes of the binding rune. His lips brush across the raised skin, pressing soft kisses to the length of the scars. "Nobody's as cocky as Jace." In the whirlwind after their wedding, they'd had very little time to themselves. But now things had calmed down enough for them to spend a lazy morning (or day) in bed. His lips move from kissing her back to kissing her stomach. He looks up at his wife, his eyes dark. "Do you really want to talk about my brothers right now? I have a few ideas of other things we can do..." He was insatiable. Even a second long view of his wife's skin could send his blood south at concerning rates.
