Just because it doesn’t fit your narrative doesn’t mean everyone else’s is wrong.. Still don’t get why they get so much hate sometimes… I love this ship and will go down with this ship ❤️🤷🏼‍♀️.

On April 18th, 2024, the official Instagram account of The Walking Dead shared the post shown within my edit in the left pane of the first of the photos shown ☝🏼here☝🏼. Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) was on a relatively short list of deceased characters from the series with this query—if we (the viewers) could bring back any character, which one would it be??? There goes that often annoying TWD account… trolling yet again in regards to Beth. *SIGH* 🙄😑🤨🤔

But I was so heartened when I looked through the comments and saw the huge volume of fans of the series—and not just Beth/Emily stans or Beth x Daryl shippers—stating that it is indeed Beth Greene whom they would want to see come back… ALIVE. This coming November will mark TEN YEARS since Beth was tragically shot in that heartbreaking episode of “Coda.” And there are still SO MANY Walking Dead fans who would have been thrilled to see her return during the run of the series. THAT is a true testament to the impact of Beth as a character and how she has enduringly resonated with so many people… with her sensitivity, her empathy, her beauty inside and out, her strength, and her spirit. The faint Team Delusional fire within me sparks a fantasy of her showing up in the second season of Daryl Dixon. Hey… stranger things have happened, right? Just the fact that Daryl floated all the way across the Atlantic to France(!?!) in the first place certainly demands a substantial suspension of disbelief on the part of the viewers. 😐

Anyway, feeling inspired by the sight of the voluminous outpouring of love and devotion for Beth, I combed through the comment thread on the post and took screenshots of any comments of Beth positivity that I could find. I then took all of those comments and poured them into a total of 17(!!!) separate Instastories (shown here in the above photos) that I shared on my Instagram—doeroseq. I tagged Emily Kinney on each story. Because I wanted her to see just how much she and Beth are both beloved and still missed by TWD’s fandom… all these years later. 👱🏻‍♀️💚🐞

And I later saw the confirmation in my Instagram messaging that she saw at least one of them. So that made me feel really good. 🥰

When I saw @bethiscomingsoon’s recent tumblr posts about their similar observations of the Beth/Emily adoration within the post’s comments, I decided to share my Instastories here too. 😁

We Beth/Emily and Bethyl fans need to stick together. 💞

I continue to love my Bethyl shipping fandom and I care deeply for all of the people in it. 😍

Episode 4 of Season 1 of The Ones Who Live—“What We” (first aired on March 17, 2024)—grabbed me because it reminded me so very much of The Walking Dead’s “Still”—episode 12 of season 4. And just a little more than exactly 10 years later from the date of that episode’s first-ever airing of March 2, 2014. 😳

It’s a bottle episode with only Michonne and Rick Grimes in it. And like Daryl Dixon and Beth Greene in “Still,” they are on the run together; they have a series of heated arguments; they fight a barrage of walkers side by side; they find themselves in two different spaces—two nearly identical apartments that somebody (OR somebodies) previously and intimately occcupied; they share tender emotional exchanges while in those spaces; and then they triumphantly leave it all behind to embark on the next phase of their adventure together to get back home… by way of an abandoned yet conveniently fueled-up vehicle!? 😛

It’s a framework so very similar to Beth and Daryl’s journey in “Still.” And as we all know, they both happily turned their backs and walked away from the burning moonshine cabin as they embarked anew on THEIR own adventure to find their family again. OR… without them knowing at that time, a place they could both make their OWN home. TOGETHER. 💞🏠

But unlike Beth and Daryl in “Still,” Rick and Michonne were able to have a much anticipated sexually intimate reunion. It actually made me wish that I was as much a Richonne shipper as I am a Bethyl shipper. It would far be less heartbreaking. 😞💔

If I loved Richonne as much as I love Bethyl, then last night would have felt so wonderfully gratifying. But if it had been Beth and Daryl rightfully and gloriously consummating their relationship, it would have been IMMEASURABLY more cathartic! 😍🥰😌

Anyway… I am very impressed with Danai Gurira’s and Andrew Lincoln’s extremely emotive performances in this latest installment of their series. TBH… I feel like it was the best I’ve ever seen them interact in these roles. But nothing will ever be as stellar as Emily Kinney’s and Norman Reedus’ heartrending acting in THEIR bottle episode. I so wish that Beth and Daryl had been given the same chances to share a romance such as Michonne and Rick have been so graciously given. *SIGH* 😔

Lots of melancholy feelings in me right now…🥺

March 2, 2024: Happy STILLiversary!

🐞🐍🔪🏌🏾‍♂️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️🧟🍑🥃🥃🏚️💵🔥🖕🏻🖕🏼

10 years ago today, my very favorite episode of THE WALKING DEAD first aired—Season 4’s “Still.” It’s widely known in the fandom as “the Beth and Daryl episode.” 💘💘

The Bethyl ship had officially launched in the first episode of THE WALKING DEAD’s season 4—“30 Days Without An Accident”—when Beth Greene hugged Daryl Dixon during a tender moment shared while they were in her prison cell. But “Still”—the 12th episode of that season—remains the most significant in their relationship timeline because it’s when they truly begin to mutually understand and appreciate each other. It’s also important because it was the first ever “bottle episode” of TWD—meaning that it focused on only 2 characters’ shared story throughout Its entirety. Emily Kinney and Norman Reedus absolutely shine in their acting in “Still.” And their chemistry is so compelling, electric, and romantic! 💞

I created this Bethyl edit to not only commemorate this special anniversary, but to also bring Daryl and Beth into the Barbiecore era of 2024.🩷

Notice the price tag of this Beth & Daryl doll duo is the original air date of “Still”: 3/2/14. 😉

The Beth Greene and Daryl Dixon packaged dolls in this pic are actually the McFarlane Toys action figures. It’s a photo of my own Beth & Daryl figures that I took several years ago. They are dressed in the outfits they wore in the “Alone” episode—the next one after “Still.” Also, the photos of Beth and Daryl that I used on the “packaging” are from “Alone” along with Beth’s line of dialogue—“Don’t you think that’s beautiful?” 👱🏻‍♀️💚

So in a way, my post and edit here honor both of these beautiful episodes that feature this couple that I STILL ship so hard… 😍🥰😌

Beth + Daryl! 📗🏹

Beth and Daryl forever!!! 🐞♥️🐍

I had the great fortune and pleasure of being at Emily Kinney’s first concert in Los Angeles since October 2019–before the onset of the COVID pandemic. I created a YouTube playlist consisting of the 3 songs from her soundcheck and the 12 songs from her concert set. Most of the songs she performed were from her new album that was released on September 22, 2023: SWIMTEAM.

As usual, Emmy and her band put on a 🎶wonderful show.🎶

Enjoy! 🩷

DJATS Appreciation Week, Day 3: Favourite Romantic Relationship –– Daisy Jones & Billy Dunne

Billy started playing and I caught his eye, for just a moment, before I started singing. And… it just seemed so obvious, so painfully, embarrassingly obvious. Without Nicky there to distract me, without keeping myself so drugged up I wasn’t even mentally present, it just seemed so obvious that I loved him. That I was in love with him. And getting high and going to Thailand and marrying a prince wasn’t going to make me stop. And him being married to somebody else… that wasn’t going to stop it either.
